I’m still working at my diaper stockpile for this baby dear.  I have all of my newborn and size 1 diapers and about half of the amount of the size 2 diapers that I want.  I also have a bunch of size 3′s because I’ve learned that I can buy about as many of them as I want because our children are in the size for what seems like forever!  Anyway, after coupons and sales, I was able to get these for $4.99 each.

The toothpaste was free after coupons/sales.

I had added three Load 2 Card coupons to my Rite Aid rewards card that were supposed to be applied to this purchase but for some reason they wouldn’t come off.  I contacted Rite Aid cooperate and they said they’d send me a gift card for the amount of the coupons.  So I included that in my “Saved with Coupons” total at the top.  After coupons and sale this purchase ended up being a $0.50 moneymaker!

Giant: $53.44
Saved with Coupons: $22.00
Saved with Sales: $30.62

This was quite a week for shopping at Giant!  They had some really awesome gas deals that I took advantage of.  Unfortunately they didn’t have more Bird’s Eye veggies in stock so I ended up getting a rain check for more of them.  At this price they are way cheaper than what I pay for the ones I get from a local produce farmer and freeze myself.  Plus, they are so much less work too!

This was a really good week at Giant!  I did a number of gas deals at Giant again.  Basically after sales/coupons/gas rewards I made $2.64 on the Lysol, $7.00 on the Post cereals, paid $0.33 each for the Planters peanut butter and $0.36 each for the Bird’s Eye veggies and Arby’s fries.

If you aren’t familiar with how the gas deals work, basically you earn so much off a gallon of gas when you purchase a certain number of specific items.  This time I earned $2.00 off a gallon, up to 30 gallons of gas, for purchasing the Lysol, Post cereal, Planters, Bird’s Eye and Arby’s fries.

I was also happy to get some free gum!  Our stash was getting low and I was starting to think that I was actually going to have to pay for some!  <gasp>

Bought:

  • 2 Lysol Wipes $2.00 each
    - bought with rain check
  • 4 Lysol Sprays $2.00 each
    - bought with rain check
  • 3 Post Honeycomb $2.00 each
  • 12 Post Cocoa Pebbles $2.00 each
  • 6 Planters peanut butter $2.50 each
  • 4 Extra gum $1.00 each
  • 6 Bird’s Eye Vegetables $2.00 each
  • Arby’s Curly Fries $2.50

Coupons Used:

  • Two $0.50 Lysol wipes printable coupons (doubled to $1.00 each)
  • Two $0.50/2 Lysol printable coupons (doubled to $1.00 each)
  • Three $1/2 Planters printable coupons
  • Four $0.50 Extra gum printable coupons (doubled to $1.00 each)

  • Two $1.00 Catalina coupons for purchasing the Post Honey Combs
    - I used these right away on my next transaction as you see above

Target: $12.39
Saved with Coupons: $19.50
Saved with Sales: $0.61

I had a $2 Target gift card that I had earned through Shopkick that I used towards this purchase.  (Learn more about Shopkick.)

I was happy to get some diapers for a great price this week at Target.  The Babyganics were only $1.99 after coupons/sales.  I’ve never used that brand before but followed my own advice of being willing to try other brands.  At $4.99, the Huggies were just so at my buy price of $5 or less.  I’m not entirely sure how I got the $2.50 Huggies coupon emailed to me but I think maybe it had something to do with signing up for the Huggies New Moms Club.

I don’t think I’ve ever bought Pull-ups before in my life.  We usually just manage with diapers since they are much cheaper.  But these Pull-ups were actually much less than I often pay for diapers so it was a no-brainer to go ahead and get them!  They only cost $3.64/pack!  And the bananas?  They ended up being $0.79 for 3 lbs. after a Target coupon.  Gotta love cheap fruit!

Bought:

  • Babyganics diapers $8.49
  • Huggies diapers $8.99
  • 2 Pull-Ups $7.64 each
  • 3 lb. Bananas $1.79

Coupons Used:

  • $4.00 Babyganics Target printable coupon
  • $2.50 Babyganics printable coupon (via Hopster)
  • $2.50 Huggies printable coupon received via email
  • $1.50 Huggies Target printable coupon
  • Two $2.00 Pull-ups printable coupons
  • Two $2.00 Pull-ups Target printable coupons
  • $1.00 off Fresh Fruit Target Cartwheel coupon
  • Also saved $0.61 by using my Target Red Card

Misc.: $0

I used grocery cash that I had previously withdrawn to pay for these purchases.

Got 5 dozen eggs from a local farm for just $1.10 a dozen.

$4 worth of beautiful lettuce from our local farmer’s market.
