20 Inexpensive Homemade Gift Ideas

It’s no secret that homemade gifts are often not only less expensive but also typically more special because of the personalized touch that goes along with them.  And while I love giving gifts of homemade food, sometimes I just want something a bit different.

Here are 20 Inexpensive Homemade Gift Ideas that I rounded up from some amazing blogs.   Along with being inexpensive, I also tried choose things that are simple and relatively easy for anyone to do- because I’m sure there are plenty of you that are like me and aren’t real great at doing crafty sorts of things! Enjoy!

1. BODY SCRUB
This Brown Sugar Vanilla Body Scrub is super easy to mix together and would be the perfect thing for anyone who loves a little pampering!   And isn’t the idea of using a vintage spoon as a scoop so clever?  I think these pretty glass jars would work perfectly

2. PERSONALIZED WOODEN HANGERS
These personalized hangers are the perfect idea for those hard to buy for people on your list.  And if you don’t have an Ikea nearby, Amazon has some wooden hangers for a decent price too!

3.  RICE BAG WARMERS
Know someone who hates being cold?  These rice bag warmers are the perfect thing.  They’d also be great for someone that deals with a lot of muscle pain. And here’s a little different twist on them- rice bag warmers with individual channels.

I love these monogrammed soap bottles.  So simple and classy!  You could even make your own foaming hand soap to put in it!

5.  KINDLE COVER
Here’s a great gift for the Kindle lovers in your life!  You can go with this cover that has has a pocket, or make a more feminine looking version that shuts with a bow.

6.   PILLOWS
If you like to sew, pillows are a great gift idea!  I love the easy pillow covers shown above- so cute and simple.  You could also go with a ruffle pillow.  Or what about a beautiful flower pillow?  Have some old sweaters?  Give them new life with an adorable, cozy sweater pillow!

Isn’t this lap desklovely?  Honestly, I was amazed at how easy it is to make- you don’t even have to know how to sew!

Give that coffee or tea lover a cup cozy to keep their beverages warm longer.  The one shown above is made out of an old sweater.  If you’d rather you can make one out of felt or the fabric of your choice.

9. MONOGRAM WREATH
This monogram wreath is so pretty!  It’s a super simple and yet personalized gift.  Not into the flowers?  Make this version that hangs with ribbon!

10. COASTERS
These coasters are cute, easy and practical.  And really, who can’t use coasters?

11.  RUFFLE SCARF
Isn’t this ruffle scarf pretty?  And all you need is a big t-shirt, paper plate and scissors.  Perfectly simple!

16. GIFT COUPON BOOK
This can be such a simple gift but is bound to be received with enthusiasm.  Create a personalized coupon book and either give the gift of time or the gift of experiences.  The possibilities really are endless.  Some ideas: a 20 minute back rub, 1 prepared meal, an evening of babysitting, an afternoon of doing whatever you want, a trip to your favorite coffee shop, a night off from doing dishes, an offer to mow their lawn.
