It’s still cheaper for me to get a box of Luvs. More diapers for only $18, or $16 if they are on sale.

Kathy, do tell. Where do you get Luvs for that price? I’ve always thought that under $4 a pack for Huggies or Pampers was cheaper than buying anything else. But obviously I was perhaps figuring wrong? If so, I want to know. I sure don’t mind using Luvs if they are cheaper!

Now I’m curious. Maybe I did the math wrong. Let’s see:

I get 96 size 4 Luvs diapers for $18, $16 if on sale, and sometimes I have $1 coupon yet. That is $.1563 to .1875.

I get 108 size 3 Luvs diapers for the same price. That is $.1388 to .1666.

The Huggies size 3 is packaged in lots of 26 according to this picture, which is $.149 each. So its roughly the same price however, I don’t have to deal with coupons or play the drugstore game.

I get these at Redner’s Warehouse Markets. This summer there was a PG rebate deal that brought it down to less than $12/box after you got the rebate credit card in the mail!

    Kathy, thanks for replying.

There are 36 size 3 diapers in the Huggies Snug and Dry, and around 29 in the Huggies Slip-ons size 3. So actually I think the Huggies would be cheaper by a bit. Although usually I can only get the Huggies Snug & Dry for around $0.13/diaper for size 3 so about what you pay for the Luvs.

Wish I had a Redners closer to me! And I’m going to be watching prices a bit more again. I’m wondering if I could find the boxes of Luvs for that price at other stores too.
