Monthly Spending Summary (August)
Oh my, I went way over budget this month! I bought a lot of things to can/freeze which bumped up my expenses. Here’s what I bought: 125 ears corn, 2 bu. peaches and 3 1/2 bu. tomatoes. But even so I still just wasn’t being real careful with my spending. I’ve been so busy that I got lax with being mindful of what I purchased. Doing this monthly spending summary was a good wake up call to think more carefully about my purchases. I’ve been too quick to just grab things that are a good price even when we don’t really need them that much.

Monthly Grocery/Household Budget: $200
Total Spent: $363.96
Total Saved with Coupons/Sales: $356.52
Week 1: $60.96
Week 2: $98.54
Week 3: $23.97
Week 4: $61.33
Week 5: $119.16
Credits: $0
Very unusual but I had absolutely NO credits this month…sure could have used some though!
Ending Monthly Balance: $163.96
This is the amount that I am over budget for the month.
Ending Annual Balance: -$56.65
In case you are confused, this is the amount I went over budget for the year. So actually, I am over budget by $56.65 for the year. I’m almost all done buying stuff to can and freeze so hopefully I can get ahead again soon!
