Toys R Us and Babies R Us: $5 Coupon (Possibly Get Items Free)

This deal was waiting for me in my inbox this morning and it made me pretty happy.  I thought it was a fun way to start the week!

Head over to the Toys R Us website to print a coupon for $5 off your purchase at Toys R Us or Babies R Us.  (Click the “Save $5 off Your Purchase” as shown above.)  The coupon has a few restrictions (such as not being able to use it on diapers, formula or wipes) and expires Thurs. 8/16/12. See the coupon for full details.

You could use this on an item that was priced around $5 and get it for free.  A couple of ideas would be Crayola products which are on sale for Buy One, Get One 50% off, sippy cups, coloring books or matchbox cars.

I plan to head over and try to get a few Crayola items for Christmas gifts.  If that doesn’t work I know my 4 yr. old would love some new coloring books!  He’s all into coloring right now.

I’m not able to print this coupon because it says the server is down, I’ve tried 3 different computers. I am on the phone with toys r’ us and they are telling me they won’t honor it unless I can print it. Wow, really bad customer service when I’m about to spend $200 at their store, I guess I will take my business elsewhere.

KC- I’m so sorry! I just tried to print it now too and am getting an error message. I would agree that you received poor customer service. The only thing I can recommend is try back later or call back and ask for a supervisor. Hate when this kind of thing happens! :(

I’m getting the same error message. I’ve tried on different days and no luck!

Lisa, yes, it is very odd…I didn’t realize they had pulled the coupon until you commented. I used mine Mon. evening so I guess I was one of the lucky ones. I think Toys R Us is saying the coupon was leaked but it was right on their homepage so it obviously was not leaked! Ugh, I hate when companies do this!

I thought this was an excellent post explaining how coupon issues like this can be avoided. You all might enjoy reading it too!
