Weekly Spending Summary (2/26-3/3)

This was a fun week.  I didn’t do much shopping but got some amazing deals at the two stores I went too.

Total Spent: $30.84
Total Saved with Coupons: $38.09
Total Saved with Sales: $73.44
Total Saved: $111.53

Giant: $17.68
Saved with Coupons: $28.09
Saved with Sales: $60.99

I bought so much at Giant this week that it wouldn’t fit on my usual photo spot- so hence the floor shot!  Giant had this awesome cereal deal going on where you got $6 off instantly when you purchased any 4 Kellogg’s cereal.  By combining that with coupons and a rebate that is available I will actually GET PAID for purchasing cereal!  Love it!  Regular price the cereal would have been $65.80 but after coupons and a Kellogg’s rebate I will get $3.60 back.

Bought:

  • 5 Kellogg’s Corn Flakes @ $2.99 each
  • 12 Kellogg’s Raisin Bran @ $3.29 each
  • 3 Kellogg’s Smart Start @ $3.79 each
  • 2 Starkist Tuna Pouches @$1.39 each
  • Florida Natural OJ $2.50
  • Dr. Oetker Pizza $4.69

Coupons Used:

  • $2.00 Catalina coupon good for any purchase (printed at register last week for purchasing Scott Toilet Paper)
  • Three $4.00/4 Kelloggs cereal printable coupons
  • $5.00/5 Kellogg’s cereal printable coupon
  • Five $6 instant savings for purchasing Kellogg’s cereal (read above)
  • Three $0.70/1 Kelloggs Smart Start cereal printable coupon (one doubled to $1.00)
  • Two $0.50/1 Starkist Tuna printable coupons (doubled to $1.00 each)
  • Dr. Oetker Free Pizza coupon ($4.69) thanks to BzzAgent

Will Get Back:

  • Two $10 Mastercard Gift Cards via a Kellogg’s rebate (due to the verbiage on the rebate I am not allowed to post a link, so if you want to find it you’ll have to google it I suppose!)

Rite Aid: $13.16
Saved with Coupons: $10.00
Saved with Sales: $12.45

It has been a while since I was able to get free shampoo so I was excited about the Pantene- it will help boost my stockpile!  You’ll notice I got a $20 UPReward.  Rite Aid had this deal where you got a $20 UPReward when you bought $100 worth of select products over several weeks time.  I don’t usually try to hit the $100 but if I happen to by purchasing things I would anyway then I’m happy.  And that is what happened.  The neat thing is that the things that I purchased that qualified for the $100 were pretty much all items I got for free so in reality it was like making $20.

Bought:

  • Stopain $6.00
  • Blink Tears $7.99
  • 2 Mentos UP2U Gum $1.00 each
  • 2 Pantene shampoos $3.50 each

Coupons Used:

  • $1 Blink Tears printable coupon
  • Two $1 Mentos Gum coupons from the Sunday newspaper coupon inserts
  • $3/2 Pantene coupon from the Sunday newspaper coupon inserts
  • $4 in UPRewards coupons (Rite Aid coupons that print at register)

Got Back:

  • Two $1 UPReward coupons for purchasing the Pantene (can use on next purchase of any item)
  • $2 UPReward coupons for purchasing the Pantene (can use on next purchase of any item)
  • $20 UPReward coupons for purchasing $100 of select products over several weeks time (can use on next purchase of any item)
  • $6.00 Rite Aid Single Check rebate for purchasing the Stopain (will get in the mail)
  • $7.99 Rite Aid Single Check rebate for purchasing the Blink tears (will get in the mail)

Misc.: $0

Frito-Lay sent me 5 personal sized bags of their new Parmesan & Herb Multi-Grain Sun Chips to try.  Honestly I kind of expected them to be a little bland tasting but I was in for a pleasant surprise.  The flavor combo was really good and just right- not too overpowering and not too bland.  If you like Sun Chips I would definitely recommend the Parmesan & Herb flavor.

Hi. I recently discovered your blog and have enjoyed using some coupons in the past (and would like to do more of it), though I haven’t devoted much time recently as we’ve just moved, I’m expecting our 2nd child (and have a very busy 13 month old), etc.

I notice, though, you often use multiples of online coupons. Aren’t there limits on how many times you can print the same coupon? Or not?

    Thanks.

Welcome Michelle! You sound like a busy lady! :)

Glad you asked about the coupon printing limit. Yes, there are limits. Most coupons you can print twice per computer although occasionally the limit is only once. Often if you simply just hit your browsers back button you can print the coupon a second time. With websites like coupons.com you can just go back and find the coupon after you printed it the first time and print it again.

I’m lucky enough right now to have 2 computers in our house which means I can often print 4 of the same coupon. Didn’t always have that though- just since about last Oct. It really has increased the amount I have saved although buying a second computer just for that obviously wouldn’t be worth it!

If you have any more questions please ask. I love to be able to help!
