How Video Game Usage Can Actually Be Good For Kids – IF It Doesn’t Take Over Their Lives

So my last post focused on a quiz that can help you determine if your kid’s video game habit is getting out of the control. The big problem these days is when the activity gets in the way of doing other important things that kids should be doing. The bottom line? Video games aren’t inherently bad for kids as long as the content is appropriate and the usage is properly supervised – and if those conditions are met, there may in fact be good things to be gained from playing them. (Full disclosure – I have always LOVED video games! And there were times that may usage definitely was excessive. If you ever played Time Pilot, you may know what I’m talking about. But I’ve got it under control now).
