Target to Host Dr. Seuss-Inspired Reading Events at All Stores Nationwide This Saturday

Families are invited to attend free events on Feb. 25!

If you have a young child, consider stopping by your local Target store tomorrow from 9 to 11 a.m. – they will be hosting free in-store reading events at all Target stores nationwide in celebration of the National Education Association’s (NEA’s) Read Across America program. Each event will include a reading nook inspired by Dr. Seuss’ “The Lorax,” a reusable Target bag filled with activities for children, readings by Target team members, and more – look for signs inside the store to point you in the right direction. If you need a store locator, click on www.Target.com/storelocator.

Target has supported (since 2003) the NEA’s Read Across America program, which calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading on or around March 2, the birthday of beloved children’s author, Dr. Seuss. It’s worth noting that, as a result of its support of programs like this, Target is on track to give $1 billion for education by the end of 2015.
