JoAnna Garcia, Nick Swisher Welcome Baby Girl

The baseball player Nick Swisher and his wife, the actress JoAnna Garcia, have welcomed a baby girl into their family.  PEOPLE.com reports:

The first baseman for the Cleveland Indians, 32, was put on the teams’ paternity list (mandatory one to three-days leave) Tuesday, revealing the happy news.

He and his actress wife, 33, announced in November that they were expecting a baby, later revealing to PEOPLE their upcoming arrival had the couple thinking pink.

“I am so excited. I never in a million years thought I’d have a little girl, but over the last six months, the pink and purple dresses that I’ve bought,” Swisher joked in an interview last week.

JoAnna Garcia, Nick Swisher Expecting First Child

The actress JoAnna Garcia and her husband, baseball player Nick Swisher, are expecting their first child in the spring of 2013, PEOPLE.com is reporting.

“Words can’t describe how blessed we feel to be expanding our family and are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our new addition. Your support and kindness has meant so much to us throughout the years and we wanted to personally share the news with you all,” the couple wrote on their Facebook page.

Swisher is a free agent who most recently played for the New York Yankees, and Garcia stars in the NBC sitcom “Animal Practice.”
