Snooki Welcomes Baby Boy

“Jersey Shore” star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and her fiancé Jionni LaValle welcomed a son on Sunday, August 26, in Livingston, NJ.

Lorenzo Dominic LaValle weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces, and both mom and baby are doing well, MTV.com reports.

PEOPLE.com had further details:

The new mom announced the news via her Twitter: “I am SO IN LOVE with my son Lorenzo Dominic! I had my little man last night, healthy at 6lbs! HE’S MY WORLD!”

News that the Jersey Shore star, 24, and her fiancé Jionni LaValle were expecting was officially announced in March. Polizzi revealed in May that she was having a boy.

Impending motherhood seemed to mellow the reality star, who slowed down her fast-paced lifestyle after learning she was pregnant.

“I guess [pregnancy] just made me more mature,” the Snooki & JWOWW star told reporters in April. “It’s different because now I’m not drinking. I’m usually partying and going to clubs, but pregnancy made me grow up a lot.”

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, the “Jersey Shore” reality television star who announced her pregnancy and engagement in March, has revealed that she and fiance Jionni LaValle are expecting a boy.  EOnline.com has more:

“I thought it was going to be a girl,” Snooki says in this week’s issue of celeb tabloid In Touch. “I was hoping it would be, because all girls want girls.”

Even so, she adds, “It’s still my baby, no matter what. I’m excited either way!”

The reality TV star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi has confirmed to US Weekly magazine that she is indeed both pregnant and engaged, putting to rest rumors and speculation that widely circulated across the internet in recent weeks.  Polizzi, 24, is reportedly 15 weeks into her pregnancy, and is engaged to boyfriend Jionni LaValle.

Polizzi and LaValle told the magazine they know they are being watched and judged because of their past antics.  “I have different priorities now,” Polizzi said. “I don’t care what anybody else thinks. As long as I know I’m ready and he’s ready.”

Adds LaValle: “We are not going to screw this up.”
