Bill Klein and Dr. Jennifer Arnold, whose life is chronicled on the TLC reality show “The Little Couple” has announced plans to adopt a second child. Like their son Will–adopted from China–their second child has dwarfism, a condition that affects both Klein and Arnold. The couple had attempted to have a biological child using a gestational surrogate, but their surrogate suffered a miscarriage in November 2011 so the couple pursued international adoption. After years of hoping to become parents and suffering through fertility issues, Bill Klein and Dr. Jennifer Arnold of TLC’s The Little Couple joyfully welcomed adopted son Will from China – and now tell PEOPLE exclusively they are adopting a 19-month-old girl from India they have named Zoey.
“We’re so delighted that Zoey will be joining our family and that William will have a little sister coming home very soon,” Arnold and Klein said in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE.
Though Zoey – who also has a form of dwarfism like her adoptive parents and new big brother-to-be, Will – is officially their daughter, the couple is waiting on final approvals and dates to be put in place so they can bring her home to Houston.
Since they wed, Klein, 38, and Arnold, 39 have hoped to adopt a child with special needs because of their own experiences with dwarfism.
“We’ve dealt with prejudice and many challenges,” says Arnold. “I feel very lucky and fortunate that I have the wonderful life I have.”

Elton John and his partner, David Furnish, have added to their family, adopting a baby boy they’ve named Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John. Elijah is brother to Zachary, born in December 2010. More from The Sun:
Elton told Hello!: “Both of us have longed to have children, but the reality that we now have two sons is almost unbelievable.
“The birth of our second son completes our family in a most precious and perfect way.
“It is difficult to fully express how we are feeling at this time — we are just overwhelmed with happiness and excitement.”
The Sun revealed in November that Elton and David were expecting their second child by the same woman who carried Zachary.

Rosie O’Donnell and her wife Michelle Rounds welcomed a daughter they have named Dakota, US Weekly is reporting. The baby, who O’Donnell and Rounds adopted after her January 5 birthday, is the first for the couple and the fifth for O’Donnell, whose older children are named Parker, Chelsea, Blake, and Vivienne. The four older kids are under a shared custody agreement with O’Donnell’s ex-wife, Kelli Carpenter.

The baby name Dakota is a Sioux name that means “friendly one,” a sweet choice for a little girl. It’s been in the top 500 baby names in the U.S. since the early 1990s, and is currently hovering around the 300 mark for both girls and boys. While in the past it’s been considered a unisex name, I’m feeling like this one is being taken over a bit by the girls. In addition to being the name of two U.S. states and tribes of Sioux Native Americans, it’s the name of actress Dakota Fanning (lately of the Twilight series), and infamously, the name of the building where John Lennon and Yoko Ono lived—and where he was shot to death in 1980.

Jillian Michaels, the fitness expert who gained notoriety for her seasons on NBC’s “The Biggest Loser,” is now the mother of two children, PEOPLE.com is reporting.
After a long process, she adopted a 2-year-old named Lukensia from Haiti. Additionally, on May 3, her partner Heidi Rhoades gave birth to a son, Phoenix.

In an exclusive at-home interview and photo shoot, she discusses the two-year journey that led her to her daughter and reveals an incredible twist of fate: Rhoades, 31, delivered their son the same week Michaels finally brought their daughter home.
The instant family has made for long days and nights for Michaels. But she insists she wouldn’t have it any other way.
“I don’t even answer email. I don’t have time to care about anything else,” she notes. “I want to be really present and enjoy all the nuances of their growth and development. I don’t want to rush any of it.”

The actress Katherine Heigl and her husband Josh Kelley have announced the name of their second daughter, who joined their family through domestic adoption in April. The baby’s name, PEOPLE.com reports, is Adalaide Marie Hope, and she joins a 3 1/2 year-old sister, Naleigh, who Heigl and Kelly adopted in 2009 from South Korea.
PEOPLE shares the happy Mother’s Day the family celebrated:
“HAPPY MOTHERS DAY !!!! Hope you dudes out there take care of your ladies. No skimping…,” [Kelley] tweeted, before sharing a photo of “the breakfast I made the mother of my children this morning.”
