Mariah Carey Didn’t Anticipate the ‘Enormity’ of Pregnancy

The singer Mariah Carey, in an interview on the TV news magazine “20/20,” said that she was not prepared for what pregnancy would do to her body, PEOPLE.com reports. Carey and her husband, actor Nick Cannon, were bringing their 6-month-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, on television for the first time.

“I don’t think I understood the enormity or the magnitude of what it really does to your body,” Carey told Barbara Walters in the interview. “It’s not just, oh you don’t look pretty and you have a bump.”

In fact, Carey said, the news of the pregnancy was initially “scary” because Carey had already suffered a miscarriage and was warned of complications that can result from carrying multiples.

Pregnancy is a very big step, in this day and age thank goodness birth control is easily available. In my day it wasnt. I lived in constant fear of pregnancy, having 10 in all, losing 7 babies to miscarriages.
If men had to be pregnant there would I can assure you be fewer pregnancies, they wouldnt put up with it.
My three children were all over 1 month premature. My husband couldnt have cared less, as long as he could work, go out at night for his few pints he was happy.
Im blessed with three wonderful adult children, grandchildren and great granchildren. He walked away and has not seen any of them.
I am surrounded by their love and care.
Men dont think much beyond sex sadly it is women who bear the brunt of their behaviour.
He doesnt even know he has grandchildren sadly.
