I get excited when I receive new books that are just about babies. When my kids were in diapers, I couldn’t inhale enough information about them. Here are two recent releases about how to feed babies and keep them healthy. I enjoyed both books because the information applies to my little kids, too.

I’d recommend this book to parents who are obsessed with three things: creative cooking, nutritious “brain” foods and Asian ingredients. The recipes such as Udon Saute with Chicken and Quinoa Almond Pudding sound delicious to me, and I’d be willing to try them out on my little kids. But the point is to give these different flavors and textures to babies so they develop a broad palette–and healthy brain–from the very first bite. The book is not for picky babies or parents but for those who love to experiment with super healthy foods that have a distinctly Asian influence. Your Baby’s Best Shot: Why Vaccines are Safe and Save Lives

Written for parents who are pro-vaccine or who just want information about what’s in all of those kids’ shots, this book is a great resource. The authors break down everything from ingredients to adverse reactions to the autism myth. This book is not for parents who agree with Jenny McCarthy. She still claims that there is a link between vaccinations and autism. This book whole-heartedly disagrees, and breaks down the medical research to back up their points.
