It’s a bumper crop of boys in the celebrisphere this week, as two stars welcomed new sons—and gave them names that are hot with other celebrities. First, Jordana Brewster (you’ll know her from Dallas) and her husband Andrew Form had a son, who they named Julian. And then, actor Johnathon Scaech and wife Julie Solomon welcomed their son, named Camden Quinn.
Julian means youthful, and is a freshly popular name, currently #53 on the charts. Music legends John Lennon and Bob Marley each chose it for their sons, along with stars like Robert DeNiro, Jerry Seinfeld, Lisa Kudrow, and Robin Thicke.
Camden is slightly less popular—currently at #156—and means winding valley. It’s also the name of a city in New Jersey and a legendary baseball field in Baltimore. But given its current popularity with the celebrity set (I’m picturing lots of Camden C.s and Camden S.’s in kindergarten), I expect it to head much higher next year. Other celebs who picked Camden include Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari, and Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo.
Quinn is a cute unisex name that’s still okay for boys and girls, though Quinn from Glee has helped bring the name more firmly into girl territory. (It’s currently at #153 for girls, and #321 for boys.) It’s an Irish name that means leader.
What do you think of these “n” ending boys’ names. Do you see anything you’d consider?Add a Comment
