Couple Turns to Facebook for Baby Name

At a baby-naming standstill? Try outsourcing the problem to Facebook, like one Illinois couple did.

Dave and Lindsey Meske were stuck between the names Madelyn and McKenna — Dad wanted Madelyn, Mom wanted McKenna — so they created a poll on Facebook last fall and promised to abide by the results.

Over 4,200 people voted in the poll, surprising both parents. Lesson: People love to talk about baby names, especially when they actually have the chance to give real input.

What do you think? Would you ever turn to social media for your baby name? And… did the Internet get it right? Madelyn or McKenna?
