American Baby’s Baby Booty: Win a Holiday Outfit for Baby

Thursday, November 29th, 2012

The very cutest things I get to see in my job as Senior Lifestyle Editor at American Baby are the tiny outfits. Babies are a joy to dress, or at least mine were. My brother joked that my daughter Grace was like Diana Ross, with several outfit switches in a day. And although boys’ clothes are somehow never as cute, I had a good time dressing up my son in plaid pants like a little old man. Dress your babies up before they have opinions of their own, is what I say!

I find myself with some teeny-tiny holiday outfits here in the office, and they need some babies to go with them! Maybe yours? The smallest outfit is for a baby girl from The Disney Store, in size 6 to 12 months. It’s actually a shirt attached to a bodysuit, with a tulle skirt that can be pulled over top. It sells for $29.50 here at The Disney Store.

This lavender number is from The Childrens Place, and is sized 12-18 months. It’s now on sale for $10.50, so seriously, if you don’t win it and still want it, find it here at The Children’s Place web site!

And then we have a bunch of holiday goodies from Tiny Tillia, sold through Avon, so I’ll divide that into one set of Polar Bear pajamas and a robe in size 2T, and a second set of baby accessories that includes socks, a bib, a hat, and red mittens. The robe is $20 and the pjs are $15, sold here at the Tiny Tillia site. The total worth of the baby accessories is $28 and they’re also sold on the site.

To be eligible, leave a comment below between now and the end of the day on Wednesday, December 5th. Tell me what your big baby photo opportunity is this season. (Visit with Santa? Christmas morning in pjs? Dressed up for dinner at grandma’s?) For the complete rules, click here. Goody luck!

American Baby’s Baby Booty: Win $100 for The Children’s Place

Thursday, August 23rd, 2012

I’m still in school-shopping mode, which brings me, literally, to The Children’s Place. I see their collections all the time for the magazine because they have plenty for babies. (My favorite recommendation: awesome, long-enough pajamas.) I go there personally, too, for my bigger kids, because their clothes are so affordable. If you’re a bargain-hunter, which I definitely drift toward, you can get some real steals. When you make a purchase in one of their stores, give them your email address. Trust me, you get coupons for up to 25 percent off. Use the coupons on a sale day and you’re set.

For instance: That’s me holding a shopping bag with three shirts, three pairs of undies, three pairs of socks, two pairs of tights, a pair of leggings and a pair of pants for Grace, along with a kitty necklace I bought for her on a whim and a new purple lunchbox that she really needs, as well as a hooded cardigan, a pair of socks and two button-up shirts for Joe. I brought my 25 percent off coupon and got the entire haul for about $85. Crazy!

I did walk past the baby clothes, and I so want a niece or nephew in my life so I could buy them one of these amazing animal bodysuits. Shhh don’t tell my brother and his new wife, I’m trying not to pressure them!

But enough about me. What about you? Where do you love to shop for your kids or baby-to-be, and what kind of stuff are you looking for? The Children’s Place is donating one $100 giftcard, so leave a comment below, up to once a day between now and the end of the day on Wednesday, August 29th. We’ll pick one comment at random and The Children’s Place will mail the giftcard to the lucky winner. To read the full rules, click here. Goody luck!
