Monday, July 7th, 2014

He’s one of those musicians who only needs to use one name. You probably grew up listening to his songs, and your kids likely enjoy them now. He’s making a comeback with his first new recording in 12 years, entitled “Love Bug,” which will be released July 15.

If you haven’t guessed, we’re talking about Raffi! The “Baby Beluga” singer, who parents and kids have known and loved for decades, has a collection of new jams on the way. His video  featuring “Love Bug” (and some adorable kiddos) makes its GoodyBlog debut below:

Sesame Street and Cookie Monster Spoof “Call Me Maybe”

Tuesday, July 10th, 2012

The popularity of Carly Rae Jepsen’s song “Call Me Maybe” is undeniable. Jepsen’s original video for the song has been seen almost 150 million times on YouTube and it has spawned countless spoofs.

But just when we thought we had seen all of the “Call Me Maybe” parodies of note, Cookie Monster surprised us with his own take on the summer anthem: “Share Me Maybe.”

We love Cookie’s singing and dancing skills, but we’re most impressed that he remembers the importance of sharing — a difficult skill for monsters and toddlers. Great job, Cookie!

We’re so excited to share that we have over 100 new, fresh, and original videos about kid crafts and classic children’s songs. Get the whole family involved in some creative, musical fun!

In our Kid Crafts How-To Videos series, watch Eva, the arts and crafts instructor, as she demonstrates each craft in simple, easy-to-follow steps. With some adult supervision, have your kids make all 26 of our favorite Parents magazine and Parents.com crafts — like a cute clothespin giraffe, fuzzy pom pom pals, and a kaleidoscope-colored stained glass butterfly.

Entertain the kids more by teaching them fun and familiar nursery rhymes.  In our Sing-Along Song Videos series, music instructor Lindsey plays a keyboard and teaches kids lyrics and melodies.  After watching all 25 songs, your kids can show off their singing chops and hand movements by belting out “I’m a Little Teapot,” “Itsy Bitsy Spider,” and “Hokey Pokey.”
