Sleep is the holy grail of early parenting. Though your baby may spend most of any given 24 hours sleeping, you have little control over when and how long your child snoozes. You’re at their mercy, often failing to reach four straight hours of slumber ever, and as a result start to go a little crazy missing your previous sleep independence.
There is an entire company, Cloud B, devoted to helping parents get their babies to sleep. The woman who founded Cloud B became a mom at about the same time as me, so we’ve always been on a similar wavelength. But her daughter slept like a dream (she credits her wearable blanket) while mine was more up and down. Mostly my daughter fussed if she woke late at night. To head that problem off at the pass, I tried the Twilight Turtle when my son was born and voila, he had an easier time settling back down once he saw those stars. (We used white noise too, in the form of a fan, though the Cloud B sound machines are much more adorable.)
Need some help in the sleep department? Cloud B is offering ONE lucky winner a sleep soothing package, including a Twilight Turtle Tunes (which can sync via Bluetooth to your phone or MP3 player), Smart Sensor Nighty Night Owl, and Dreamz To Go Groovy Globe (so you can still project stars at Grandma’s).
