Move over young Hollywood — these mini fashionistas are taking over as the new trendsetters in Tinseltown!
With fashion designers as moms, it’s no wonder that celeb kids such as Kingston Rossdale, Skyler Berman, Suri Cruise and Harper Beckham are seen in today’s top fashions.
“It is too much fun. It is like dressing a live doll,” Rachel Zoe said of dressing her 1-year-old son Skyler with husband Rodger Berman. “He has no opinion. Every minute I have to buy things for my son,” she confessed.
And not to mention Suri Cruise‘s fashion statements!
Her mom Katie Holmes came clean about Suri’s lack of weather-appropriate attire, admitting it can be “embarrassing.”
“Recently, Suri and I were taking a walk and a fight got started because it was cold outside and she didn’t want to wear her coat,” Katie said. “My philosophy is, well, fine, because after a block of walking you’re going to ask me for your coat. So the pictures of her [without a coat in cold weather] are sort of embarrassing.”
Suri’s Top Gun papa, Tom Cruise, has also weighed in on Suri’s much-talked-about fashion choices — such as her heels and lipstick.
“Listen, I believe that she (should wear) whatever she wants to wear,” Tom said. “She dresses herself. I want to encourage her creativity and her own self-expression. I think that’s important for the child’s own identity.”
The doting daddy went on to say that Suri is “so sweet” that it’s hard to say “no” to her.
With Harper Beckham‘s mom making a name for herself in the fashion industry, it’s no stretch to hear that her wardrobe is full of fancy duds!
“She has so many little dresses!” dad David Beckham said of his 11-month-old daughter with Victoria Beckham. “I didn’t realize how excited I would get over buying hair bows.”
Harper looked cute as a button when we spotted the mini-fashionista with her posh mama at LAX, sporting a Little Marc Jacobs Isis Even Stripe Dress ($119) and a pair of Chloe tights ($50).
The always stylish Gwen Stefani said she lets her stylish 6-year-old son Kingston pick out his own clothes.
“At that age they like to be in control of everything, so I let him choose,” the L.A.M.B. designer said. “Luckily, everything in his closet is cute so no matter what he picks, he’s gonna look good. For a while he was into costumes. Now he doesn’t even want to wear shoes.”

It’s a Hollywood’s baby boom!
From R&B royalty Jay-Z and Beyoncé‘s firstborn child Blue Ivy, and David and Victoria Beckham’s first daughter Harper Seven, to Pink and Carey Hart’s sweet girl Willow Sage, there have been some adorable new arrivals into Tinseltown!
Take a look through our list of 10 beautiful new babies in Hollywood.
Babies of 2012…
Blue Ivy Carter:
R&B royalty Jay-Z and Beyoncé welcomed one of the most highly-anticipated babies in Hollywood, daughter Blue Ivy, on January 7, 2012. The superstar couple released a touching statement to announce the birth of their first child’s birth. “Hello Hello Baby Blue!” they stated. “We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012. Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven. She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs and it was the best experience of both of our lives. We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support.”
Samuel Garner Affleck:
We can’t wait to see sweet baby Sam!
After having two daughters – Violet, 6, and Seraphina, 3 – high-profile couple Ben Affleck andJennifer Garner finally welcomed a boy! Babies of 2011…
Ever Imre Morissette-Treadway:
Canadian crooner Alanis Morissette and husband Mario “Souleye” welcomed their first child, son Ever, on Christmas Day, 2010. Although she seems a natural, the of You Oughta Knowsinger admits, “I remain baffled at how little I was prepared for what was to come.” “It was all I could do not to cry out for the kind of mothering that I was intending to offer my lil’ one,” Alanis reflected as a new mom. “Someone who could swoop in and just DO THIS FOR ME while they pet my trembling head, while I whimpered in the corner. I remember crying out on a walk up the street, startling a dog. This dog was not easily startled. But no, this motherhood business was my call to rise to. And mine alone,” the ‘Thank You’ singer writes. “And there was no doula alive that could have reached in and taught me what I have learned through experience. There was no midwife who could show me how to grow up, warp-speed from complicated contemplative maiden to accountable matriarch. These things required months of growth and calibrating! And here I naively thought that I would arrive as a MOM at the same time as my lil’ boy arrived as a SON. The latter waaay preceded the former.”
Faith Margaret Kidman Urban:
At the age of 40, Nicole Kidman gave birth to her first biological child, daughter Sunday Rose, in July 2008 with her country singing superstar hubby Keith Urban. The power couple didn’t stop there — on December 28, 2010 they welcomed another daughter, Faith Margaret, who was delivered via gestational carrier. “Having given birth and then being there to see my child born in that way, I felt so much love for our surrogate, gestational carrier,” Nicole said. She’s also opened up about her “roller-coaster ride with fertility.”
Flynn Christopher Blanchard Copeland Bloom:
On January 6, 2011, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr welcomed their first child, son Flynn. Baby Flynn has topped the charts as a favorite new tot in Tinseltown!
“He’s a great kid. I love it.” Orlando said of his sweet son. “He’s wonderful [and] laughs more than he cries – we’re very lucky.”
[Flynn is] “the best thing I’ve ever done!,” Miranda gushed. “Every day it just gets better,” she added.

“Cuddle Yellow” or “Lemon Gold?”
Not to worry — you won’t have to ask yourself that question again. On behalf of all expectant mothers out there, a new online tool was launched last week to help you complete a nursery without the headache. Fisher-Price and Sherwin-Williams have partnered together, bringing parents the “Room to Bloom” website.
Rachel Zoe, a new mother and well-known celebrity stylist, met with us to explain some highlights of the site. Here’s what we learned: First, you select the furniture collection you would like to work with. Next, a room with undecorated floors and walls appears on your computer screen. Pick colors and patterns from a sidebar, based off of your furniture choices. Once you’ve designed your baby’s new room, print the image or share it on Facebook to show friends. And of course, everything you see is also available in stores, down to the exact paint color.
We caught up with Rachel’s new assistant, Jeremiah, after the demonstration. Hear what he had to say about designing a nursery with Rachel Zoe, and how he went from tinkering with Transformers to appearing on season four of Bravo’s hit series, The Rachel Zoe Project.
Tell us a little bit about your background. What were you doing before Rachel Zoe’s television show?
Jeremiah Brent: I used to paint… And then I got tired of painting. So I literally went down one weekend to Toys ‘R Us and bought $300 worth of Transformer toys and taught myself how to build furniture from them.
Whoa… I’ve worked with some toys for the magazine and those are really difficult!
JB: I know but they’re great because it taught me how things move and how they fit together, how they collapsed. So it started as a hobby and became a design business. What that transitioned into was working with actual interiors. I did a ton of houses, and I had that (job) for years. And then this opportunity with Rachel came up, and I was like “Well, how can I say no.”
So Rachel told us her favorite collection on Room to Bloom was the “SnuggaBunny.” Do you want to tell us what your favorite is?
JB: I actually love that one, and I love “Coco Sorbet.” It’s really beautiful. I think gender neutrality with all of these, and especially with those two, is really big. I’m not a huge fan of crazy colors; it’s just the way I am. And it’s easy for those parents who are expecting, but they don’t know what.

Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman welcomed a baby boy this week who may just grow up to the most stylish man in Hollywood. Zoe reportedly went into labor on Tuesday night and now her rep has confirmed to People that Skyler Morrison Berman has arrived, weighing in at 6 lbs., 12 oz. and 20 inches long.
Zoe, 39, has shared her hesitations about starting a family on her Bravo hit reality series, The Rachel Zoe Project. The hesitations came as no surprise considering her demanding work schedule. Luckily she scaled back on work during her pregnancy recently telling The Hollywood Reporter, “I can say in all honesty that being pregnant, working with the kind of people I work with and being this businesswoman has been a really wonderful, drama-free time in my life.”
After the arrival of their son, the couple said in a statement, “Mom and Dad ‘LITERALLY’ could not be happier or more in love with their son!”
We can’t wait to see how Skyler’s stylist mommy will dress him for his first big photo shoot!
