Hank Baskett: Alijah and Hank Make Every Day Father’s Day

Friday, June 13th, 2014

Kendra On Top star Hank Baskett has a lot to celebrate this Father’s Day.  The proud papa opens up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about family life with their newest addition – daughter Alijah Mary.

The former NFL star, 31, chats about how little Hank, 4, is adjusting to his baby sister, how raising a daughter will be different, and his Father’s Day plans.

CBS: You and Kendra welcomed a beautiful baby girl into your family recently, how has Alijah Mary changed your life so far? Does she have your wrapped around her little finger yet?

HB: “Alijah has been absolutely amazing. Other than the fact that early on she was more like a vampire with her sleeping habits. But seriously she has been a little angel. For the first few days in the hospital I couldn’t help but look at her and have my eyes water up. She’s papa’s lil girl and I’m already feeling that. She has me wrapped more than by her little finger. I might as well have hand cuffs on. Gonna be hard to tell her no.”

CBS: How is Kendra feeling? Is Alijah sleeping well so far?

HB: “Kendra is doing very good. The nurses at the hospital were even amazed at how fast she was up walking around. Kendra had definitely been a trooper. Until Alijah stops breastfeeding I’m basically a changing parent.

CBS: How is Hank Jr. adjusting to having a little sister? He’s been an only child for 4 years, does he like being a big brother?

HB: “Honestly Lil Hank had reacted better than Kendra and I could’ve ever imagined. He had been extremely loving and caring with Alijah. He always wants to give her a kiss in the head before she goes to sleep and before he goes to school. He’s even told us at times we couldn’t hold her because she’s his baby sister and he’s protecting her. He’s gonna be one hell of a big brother!”

CBS: How do you think raising a daughter will differ from raising a son? In what ways do you think you’ll be more strict or lenient?

HB: “There’s gonna be slight changes in raising a girl but we don’t want to change things too much. We feel like we’ve done pretty good with Hank and don’t want her treated any differently. I must admit that I’m exited to have someone on my side now. There are times Kendra and Lil Hank gang up on me.”

CBS: Father’s Day is coming up, what will make this Father’s Day special for you?

HB: “I couldn’t ask for anything more for Father’s Day than I already have. Kendra has blessed me with two of the most amazing gifts a man could ask for. Alijah and Hank make everyday Father’s Day to me. Kendra is the most amazing wife and mother I could’ve ever dreamed of. She is very adamant that I get enough rest and at times I feel guilty because she’s doing so much. Probably my favorite thing so far is seeing Alijah and Lil Hank curled up in her arms. I just sit back, take many pictures, and thank the Lord for putting Kendra in my life. So much has happened in 6 years since we met I can’t help but look forward to the many more ahead!!”

Hank Baskett: Our Family Will Be Complete

Thursday, March 6th, 2014

Kendra On Top star Hank Baskett is “honored and blessed” to host the 1st Annual Every Thing For Dads Convention on March 15 in Sarasota, Florida. The convention will be the launch of a long-term grassroots movement designed to raise awareness of the increasing need for dads to be involved in parenting and for their role to respected and recognized in the parenting process.

The proud papa opens up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about happy family life with wife Kendra Wilkinson and their 4-year-old “LEGO fanatic” son Little Hank. The former NFL star, 31, chats about possible baby names for their daughter on-the-way, his “old school” relationship with Kendra, and their “complete” family once baby No. 2 arrives.

CBS: You are co-hosting the first annual Every Thing for Dads Convention in March. Tell us about the event.

HB: “I’m extremely honored and blessed to host the first ever Every Thing for Dads Convention in March. You look at all the dads out there in the world and I was speechless when I found out I get to host the first one. When I told my dad, he reacted the same way.

My definition of success whenever I die is going to be based on how I was described as a husband and a father. I live my life for my family, my son, and soon-to-be-born daughter. It’s an honor, because this type of award is not one you can just buy. The opportunity to host this is not something you can pay for; it’s earning the respect of your fellow fathers and peers. It’s in my eyes, it’s probably one of the most prestigious awards that I’ve ever been given.”

CBS: How did you get involved in the Every Thing for Dads Foundation?

HB: “They reached out to me. When they told me about the Every Thing for Dad Foundation, I was like, ‘Wow!’ First, how did they find me? Second, what caused them to look me up? And third, why me?”

CBS: How has fatherhood changed you?

HB: “First off, I get to be a kid again. I get to live vicariously through Hank. We’re building LEGOs left and right right now. I was a LEGO fanatic when I was a kid. When you have a child, it makes you appreciate the little things every day. You see things as your child is developing, especially at a younger age, that you don’t remember when you were a kid.

It gives me a feeling of joy that little Hank is learning how to kick, learning how to throw, learning how to build, and has awe in his eyes every day he does something good. It gives me so much joy whenever Kendra and I are there to share it with him. When he says to you, ‘Look papa at what I built!’ and when you see how proud he is, it makes you realize that as adults, people put too much emphasis on everything we have to do during the day.”

CBS: You and Kendra are expecting a girl this year. Congratulations! How has this pregnancy been for you and Kendra?

HB: “It’s been amazing. This was a little harder for her but also a little bit easier. During the first pregnancy, I was still in the NFL and we were traveling across the country nonstop. Having her house and building her camp in one spot has been amazing. It’s so much easier for the both of us and there’s so much that gets taken out of the decision from the first pregnancy.

Kendra is having a little pain that’s associated with a second pregnancy, as the baby is sitting lower and things like that. Overall, it’s been a blessing and it is great that Hank is old enough to understand that he’s going to have a baby sister and he gets to help and be involved. It’s just amazing to incorporate him as much as possible.”

CBS: Is Little Hank excited to become a big brother? How did he react to the news?

HB: “At first, he said, ‘Ok, I’m having a brother or sister.’ He was excited. Now, he’s really excited because we ask him what things he likes and what he wants to do with his baby sister. I also get to raise him now the way my father raised me — to always take care of your mom and take care of your sister. He is so excited to be a big brother and he knows he gets to help protect this little sister.”

CBS: Do you think you’ll be a different kind of dad with your daughter?

HB: “Oh, I told Kendra that all the loving and hugs I give her are going to be cut in half, because my little girl is going to have me wrapped around her little finger and I know it [laughs].”

CBS: What are you looking forward to most in having a daughter?

HB: “I would say being a complete family. We have a son and we will also have a daughter. We know we’re done after that and we won’t have to wonder. If we had another boy, we might wonder, what if we had a little girl? I am also looking forward to the joy of accepting the challenge of learning how to take care of a little girl.”

CBS: Do you have any names picked out for your baby girl?

HB: “We’re all over the place. We’ve thrown out names like Jayden, Taylor, Addison, and Ashton. It’s been all over the place and we’re trying to narrow it down, but you know little things happen while we research baby names and whatnot.

We want to raise a little tomboy but we want her to be our little princess on the other side. Jayden is one of the first names we thought of, and we thought of that awhile back.”

CBS: What is Little Hank into these days? Could you tell us about his personality and hobbies?

HB: “Oh, he’s such a sweet kid. This little kid just makes your heart melt like butter. He says, ‘Hey Daddy, I picked a rose out front. I’m going to give you and my baby sister a flower every day.’ This made Kendra say, ‘Awe, you’re sweeter than your dad.’ Which made me say, ‘No, dad has been teaching him right [laughs].’ He loves to build and loves LEGOs. He creates these magnetic shapes and I’m so impressed that every day he can build bigger and better. It makes me think, ‘Wow! We have a little architect on our hands.’”

CBS: What does he do to make you laugh?

HB: “It’s just his personality. He jokes around and likes to play games. He likes to hide under things and we pretend we can’t see him. We get so much joy from his laugh afterwards. He’s like, ‘How fun!’ I’m loving it. The best thing that makes me so happy is when I put him to bed, or when I drop him off at school and he says, ‘Papa, you’re cool,’ or, ‘Papa, you’re my best friend.’ I’m like, ‘That’s my guy!’”

CBS: Does he like football like his dad?

HB: “He likes all sports and he just started his first soccer practice. He is also trying to dribble a basketball around. I’m very, very impressed at how good he is. We have a little athlete on our hands! He can also throw a football now.”

CBS: How has your relationship with Kendra has evolved over the years? Have you fallen more in love with her during the pregnancy and motherhood?

HB: “Any man who looks at his wife when she is pregnant understands that it’s the most beautiful feeling. You don’t know how many times she is going to get pregnant, it might just be once. I appreciate the nine months that she was pregnant. She could be going through pain, but I just love looking at her because that’s when you really look at a woman and say, ‘You have really given me everything.’ When a woman gives you a child, she is truly giving you everything. I just grow more and more in love with her over the years. To this day, I fall in love over and over because she keeps me on my toes and I never know what to expect from her.”

CBS: You and Kendra seem like a solid couple. What is the secret to your success?

HB: “Communication. If we have something on our minds, we don’t hold back from sharing it.”

CBS: What do you think is the downfall to most high-profile relationships?

HB: “Kendra and I are old school, and I’m not saying others aren’t. We got married for the right reasons. We’re not about fame, who makes the most money, or this or that. No, it’s about seeing what we can do that is best for our family. That’s what both of us see. We’re not about buying things. We’re about family trips and family activities and things like that.”

CBS: What is up next for you?

HB: “Right now, my foundation partnered with a company called Gaems. We are making the first-ever portable gaming environment, and with that we will do gaming events. In New York, we did a direct play for helping sick children in hospitals.

I also have my charity golf event, the Hank Baskett Classic, coming up on May fourth and fifth down at Trump National in Rancho Palos Verdes. This will be its third year. I’m going to also do a bike ride with some veterans in Dallas in March. I’m just trying to be all over the place.

At my gym, we also had another draft class. I lead a game. I’m hoping to have another top-five draft pick again this year and hopefully have a guy who could potentially run the fastest combined time ever and break the record. I’m just trying to do it all.”

Celebrity Moms Talk Postpartum Weight Loss

Thursday, March 14th, 2013

This post was written by our friends at Celebrity Baby Scoop

The urgency to lose the baby weight in Hollywood is almost as serious as an Oscar win.

Who dropped the postpartum pounds the fastest? Who debuted their post-baby body on a magazine cover? How much did she gain during her pregnancy?

Some of our favorite celebrity moms – including Drew Barrymore, Jessica Simpson, and Gwyneth Paltrow – are sounding off on this buzzed about topic.

Drew Barrymore
Former child star Drew Barrymore recently sat down with talk show queen Oprah Winfrey and opened up about husband Will Kopelman and their 4-month-old daughter Olive.

“Absolutely not. I want nothing to do with that hamster wheel from hell,” Drew said of quickly dropping the baby weight to appease Hollywood’s standards.

She added: “It seems miserable. I want to be healthy enough that I feel good mentally and I don’t care what the weight is,” the E.T. star said.

Gwyneth Paltrow
Mom-of-two Gwyneth Paltrow supported her good pal, celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson, at her Pregnancy Project event in New York City last Fall.

“You can really put the pressure on yourself — I didn’t,” Gwyneth has said of shedding her postpartum pounds after giving birth to her now 8-year-old daughter Apple and son Moses, 6.

The Academy Award-winning actress said that she revelled in new motherhood and took her time to lose those last few pounds.

“I was at home in sweatpants and breastfeeding for a long time,” Gwyneth shared. “I really took my time. And when I started to want to get back into shape, I was so thankful to find Tracy.”

Tracy Anderson
Celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson recently launched her Pregnancy Project workout DVD collection, providing women with safe and effective fitness routines during the pre-and-postnatal periods.

Tracy tells Celebrity Baby Scoop that these DVDs – which she filmed during her recent pregnancy with daughter Penelope – are a “passion project” that are “really needed for women.” The fitness guru – who has an impressive client list including Gwyneth Paltrow, Madonna, Molly Sims, and Christy Turlington – opened up about losing the 33 pounds she gained in just 11 weeks.

“I’ve spent thirteen years creating this fitness method for women and I use it myself, so I really credit the method for staying fit in the prenatal and postnatal stages,” Tracy shared with Celebrity Baby Scoop.

“In my first pregnancy 14 years ago, I gained 60 pounds and it was the most nightmarish thing to get off,” she added. “I was so happy to not have to worry about going into pregnancy this time; I knew what I was doing. I followed my own advice during this second pregnancy and gained around 33 pounds. I was able to lose it all in about eleven weeks.”

Jessica Simpson
Jessica Simpson’s 50-pound weight gain during her first pregnancy was one of the most talked-about topics of last year.

The Fashion Star mentor recently graced the January/February 2013 cover of Weight Watchers magazine, showing off her weight loss after the May 1 arrival of her daughter Maxwell.

“I really have to separate myself from the world’s expectations and really just be healthy with myself,” Jessica shared. “I’m not a supermodel. My body is not bouncing back like a supermodel. I’m just your everyday woman.”

And all eyes are on the singer-turned-entrepreneur again. On Christmas Day, Jessica confirmed her second pregnancy by sharing a picture of baby Maxwell with the words “Big Sis” written in the sand in front of her.

Kendra Wilkinson
Former Playboy model Kendra Wilkinson welcomed her first child, son Hank, with football star husband Hank Baskett in December 2009.

The Girls Next Door star opened up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about the media’s focus on her body during the pre-and-postnatal stages.

“The media is the media. They’re going to do what they please. I’m okay with it,” said Kendra of the constant criticism of her weight.

“I had to really look deep into myself and think more about myself,” she added. “I’m a deep thinker and there’s this thing I always think about: what if today, mirrors just went away. What if your reflection just went away? What if I had no pictures of myself? Would I feel great, would I feel pretty? And the answer is: yes I would. The mirror can play tricks on you.”

5 Celebrity Moms on Explaining Their Colorful Pasts to Their Kids

Thursday, August 9th, 2012

This post was written by our friends at Celebrity Baby Scoop.

We’ve all done crazy things in our youth! But what happens when mom’s past has been caught on tape, encapsulated in magazines, or documented all over the Internet?

Take a look at 5 high-profile moms with nude modeling pasts, porn star status, or known as a mistress to the stars. Let’s hear how moms like Kendra Wilkinson, Jenna Jameson, and Pamela Anderson plan to explain their colorful pasts to their kids.

Kendra Wilkinson:

Kendra Wilkinson and husband Hank Baskett are parents to 2-year-old son Little Hank.” The Kendra on Top star recently opened up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about talking to her son about her Playboy past one day.

“I’m not dreading the conversation because both my husband and I are proud of my past,” she said. “[Little Hank] actually already come across some [laughs], he just didn’t really know what it was yet. It’s better to be open than not, so I will be very open with him when the time comes. Openness and honesty is the best way to go.”

And when it comes time, Kendra will also be open to discussing her past alcohol abuse and sex tape.

“Oh yah! When it comes time,” she said of talking openly about her troubled past. “You can’t mark the date like, ‘When my son or daughter turns 10-years-old on a Sunday at 10 o’clock I’m gonna talk about sex with them.’ No, that’s the wrong that people do in America. People go too much by the book. I believe that is wrong and I don’t believe in going by the book. I believe in knowing your kids, know how they are being raised and educating them the second that it comes time. For sure, that’ll be the time to talk.”

Jenna Jameson:

Jenna Jameson, retired porn star and adult industry mogul, worries about explaining her past to her 3-year-old twin sons Jesse and Journey one day. The mother-of-two said she’s proud of her success, yet wonders what life would be like if she never entered the pornographic industry.

Jenna is now retired from the industry and is a stay-at-home mom. The world’s most famous porn star says she struggled with infertility for years, and now that she has children, she faces a new struggle. How is she planning to explain her pornographic past to her sons?

“The moment you become a porn star, you will always be a porn star for the rest of your life,” said Jenna. “I don’t know exactly what I’m going to say to my sons, but I do know that I want them to understand that their mother loves them. I don’t worry about what people think. I worry about what my sons think.”

As a young starlet in the adult film industry, Jenna says she had a specific vision throughout her career. “I wanted to be the number one porn star in the world, and I wanted to do it with dignity,” she says. “I wanted to change things because this industry was run by men.”

10 Celebrities Who Give Parenting Advice

Celeb Advice

This post was written by our friends at Celebrity Baby Scoop.

Who do you turn to for parenting advice? Your own mother, your friends or other family members?

Or maybe you look to celebrity parents for their thoughts on parentingAngelina Jolie advises parents to let their children “express themselves,” Tom Cruise says he doesn’t like to say “no” to his little girl, while Gisele Bündchen feels all new moms should be legislated to breastfeed. Take a look through our list of 10 celebrities and their top parenting advice.

Angelina Jolie:

Academy Award-winning actress Angelina Jolie and her longtime love Brad Pitt are parents to six kids: Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 5, and 3-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. And although they have such a big brood, their 5-year-old sure knows how to make headlines with her tomboy image!

Angle has said that Shiloh is “fascinating,” and elaborated on the fact that her daughter dresses “like a little dude…I would never be the kind of parent to force somebody to be something they are not,” Angelina said. “I think that is just bad parenting… Children should be allowed to express themselves in whatever way they wish without anybody judging them because it is an important part of their growth.”

Katie Holmes:

Dawson’s Creek alum Katie Holmes and husband, Mission Impossible star Tom Cruise, have a 5-year-old fashionista on their hands! While everyone around her is bundled up in warm winter sweaters or coats, their daughter Suri is often seen with bare arms and legs.

Katie came clean about Suri’s lack of weather-appropriate attire, admitting it can be “embarrassing.”

“Recently, Suri and I were taking a walk and a fight got started because it was cold outside and she didn’t want to wear her coat,” Katie said. “My philosophy is, well, fine, because after a block of walking you’re going to ask me for your coat. So the pictures of her [without a coat in cold weather] are sort of embarrassing.”

Suri’s Top Gun papa has also weighed in on Suri’s much-talked-about fashion choices — such as her heels and lipstick. “Listen, I believe that she (should wear) whatever she wants to wear,” Tom said. “She dresses herself. I want to encourage her creativity and her own self-expression. I think that’s important for the child’s own identity.”

The doting daddy went on to say that Suri is “so sweet” that it’s hard to say “no” to her.

Gisele Bündchen:

Model mom Gisele Bündchen has been known to speak her mind! Seven months after welcoming her son Benjamin with husband Tom Brady, the Brazilian beauty declared that breastfeeding should be made mandatory by law. “Some people here (in the US) think they don’t have to breastfeed, and I think ‘Are you going to give chemical food to your child when they are so little?’ I think there should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months,” Gisele said.

After a public uproar, the new mom clarified her thoughts about breastfeeding and the impact caused by her comment. “My intention in making a comment about the importance of breastfeeding has nothing to do with the law,” Gisele wrote on her blog. “It comes from my passion and beliefs about children. Becoming a new mom has brought a lot of questions, I feel like I am in a constant search for answers on what might be the best for my child. It’s unfortunate that in an interview sometimes things can seem so black and white. I am sure if I would just be sitting talking about my experiences with other mothers, we would just be sharing opinions. I understand that everyone has their own experience and opinions and I am not here to judge. I believe that bringing a life into this world is the single most important thing a person can undertake and it can also be the most challenging. I think as mothers we are all just trying our best.”

Jennifer Garner:

Jennifer Garner became a mother-of-three earlier this week when she welcomed her third child, son Samuel, with husband Ben Affleck. She is one of our favorite celebrity moms year after year, and when she talks about role modeling for her daughters Violet, 6, and Seraphina, 3, it’s easy to see why she gets the popular vote.

“I try really hard to put my phone down [ever since] my daughter pretended to take something out of one of her little purses and was like, ‘I’ve got an email – hang on one second,’” Jen said.

The Alias alum went on to encourage mother’s to stop judging one another, and start supporting each other. “I will tell you what I can’t abide – and I think the Internet has really created a space for it – women criticizing other women and mothers criticizing other mothers,” Jen shared. “It just makes me crazy, whether it’s between staying at home, going to work, how long you breastfeed, if you use formula. I feel like we should just assume everyone is doing the best they can. Women should take care of each other, not tear each other down. I would just like to see a mother who really believes that she has done it all so right, you know what I mean?”

Michael J. Fox:

While Michael J. Fox was once best known for his Back to the Future films, he is now widely known as an advocate for Parkinson’s Disease, a condition he was diagnosed with in 1991. The father-of-four often speaks out on the importance of family. “Always be available to your kids,”Michael advised. “Because if you say, ‘Give me five minutes, give me ten minutes,’ it’ll be 15, it’ll be 20. And then when you get there, the shine will have worn off whatever it is they wanted to share with you. I’ve never gotten up to see something one of my kids wanted to show me and not been rewarded.”

10 Celebrity Moms Pregnant Under 30

Thursday, March 15th, 2012

Celebrity Moms Under 30This post was written by our friends at Celebrity Baby Scoop.

Some say over 40 is too old for pregnancy, while others argue that under 30 is too young

Let’s take a look within Hollywood and see who has entered motherhood in their teens and 20s. From Britney Spears and her sis Jamie Lynn Spears, to moms-to-be Hilary Duff and Snooki, look through our list of 10 young Hollywood moms.

 Snooki:

In the worst-kept secret in reality TV history, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, 24, recently confirmed that she is pregnant and engaged to the father, beau of one and a half years Jionni LaValle.

And the Jersey Shore star and LaValle, also 24, know just what onlookers are thinking. “I have different priorities now,” the reformed party girl said. “I don’t care what anybody else thinks. As long as I know I’m ready and he’s ready.”

 Hilary Duff:

Disney darling Hilary Duff, 24, is expecting her first child with hockey star hubby Mike Comrie, 31. “I feel like the first pregnant woman on Earth,” Hilary said. “Every time I feel something, I’m like, ‘What is this? What’s happening?’ And I’m Googling and finding out that everyone has had the same symptoms and I’m totally not original.” The Lizzie McGuire star went on to talk about her first pregnancy. “Today I got out of the shower and one side of my stomach [was] way bigger than the other side. It was the first time that I saw the baby actually moving in there!,” she said. “It was like I had a little alien inside!”

Britney Spears:

When pop princess Britney Spears was 22, she wed her second husband Kevin Federline. At the tender age of 23, Brit gave birth to her first child, Sean Preston. Just one year later, the Oops!… I Did It Again singer welcomed her second son, Jayden James.

Brit has opened up about how motherhood has changed her life. “As a mother, the one thing that always goes through your head is, ‘You’re never enough.’ You never can be enough—or do enough—for your kids,” she said. “It’s a never-ending issue for me. I had to learn: Don’t beat yourself up so much…. You have to take it one day at a time, do the best that you can and enjoy yourself. I notice that if there are some times I’ve been stressed, because I’m human and stress about things, that affects your kids. So you have to make sure you’re a happy mom so they can be happy.”

Jamie Lynn Spears:

Not to be outdone by big sister Britney, Jamie Lynn Spears welcomed her first child at the young age of 17. The teen mom and her then-boyfriend, Casey Aldridge, welcomed daughter Maddie Briann in June 2008.

Jamie Lynn recently talked about being embarrassed at the time to reach out for birth control. “I was 16. I’d had one boyfriend. It doesn’t make it perfect or all right,” she said. “Casey was my first love,” she said. “Since the day I saw him, I just wanted to marry him and be with him forever and ever. I believe in safety and birth control as prevention. But like many young girls…I was really scared to go to the doctor. And I was on a Nickelodeon show, and it [felt] especially embarrassing to ask someone to put me on birth control. I didn’t want to ask my doctor, because she had a little girl.”

The young mom went on to say she never wanted to “glamorize teen pregnancy.” “When I found out I was pregnant, [my parents and I] decided to do an interview with OK! magazine about it. I knew I needed to give an explanation to my fans, and I wanted it to be in my words first. I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls and the mothers who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn’t trying to glamorize teen pregnancy. I hated when [the tabloids] said that. Everybody is dealt a hand of cards. It was my choice to play them the way I played them. But the hateful comments hurt. [Parent groups were outraged at the Nickelodeon star, and tabloids printed rumors that Spears had a miscarriage, that she was giving up her baby, and that Aldridge was cheating on her.] I was already upset about having to tell my parents and Casey’s parents. To have the world come down on a situation that was already affecting my family hugely was hard. But this was my situation, and I did the best I could.”

Miranda Kerr:

On January 6, 2011, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr, then 27, welcomed their first child, son Flynn. In our 4th Annual Readers’ Choice Awards, baby Flynn topped the charts as our favorite new tot in Tinseltown! [Flynn is] “the best thing I’ve ever done!,” Miranda gushed. “Every day it just gets better,” she added.
