Tinseltown’s Tots Go Trick-or-Treating

Thursday, October 18th, 2012

This post was written by our friends at Celebrity Baby Scoop.

Could you imagine the likes of Shiloh Jolie-Pitt or Honor Warren coming to your front door on Halloween night? Celebrity Baby Scoop is taking a look at 15 celebrity families that love to go trick-or-treating with their tots in their swanky neighborhoods.

1. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie

RadarOnline caught Brangelina and their brood trick-or-treating in the Los Angeles area on Halloween night.

Brad Pitt looked hilarious dressed up as DJ Lance Rock from the kids TV show Yo Gabba Gabba! His leading lady, Angelina Jolie, went as the walking dead, while Maddox was a dead army soldier, Zahara was Batgirl, and Shiloh was a jet fighter.

2. Christina Aguilera

Grammy Award-winning singer Christina Aguilera was spotted with son Max trick-or-treating in Brentwood, Calif. on Halloween night. The mother-son duo looked adorable in their matching skeleton costumes.

3. Scott Baio

See Dad Run star Scott Baio and wife Renee have big plans for their daughter Bailey, nearly 5, this Halloween.

“Bailey got a witch Minnie Mouse costume that has orange and black polka dots, and we will go trick-or-treating up in our neighborhood,” Scott recently told Celebrity Baby Scoop. “There are hundreds of kids that come up here, so it is a lot of fun.”

When she was just 2, Bailey buzzed along as a bee in their Los Angeles neighborhood.

“We went trick-or-treating in our Toluca Lake neighborhood,” Renee said. “It’s very festive for Halloween. They close down some of the streets. Buses drop children off by what looks to be in the hundreds. A lot of the parents/adults dress up too. A few of the homes (the Kerns family – the juice makers – and the Disney family) really go out with turning their property into a haunted house scene.”

Stay Safe on Halloween

Monday, October 31st, 2011

Did you know that costume wearing evolved from a 17th-century British tradition of wearing masks for Guy Fawkes Day? Since then, costumes have evolved into fun, fantastical ways to showcase creativity and imagination.

According to, the top five search trends for baby costumes this year included pop culture characters such as Angry Bird and Cookie Monster as well as the ever-popular butterfly, dinosaur, and pumpkin outfits. Meanwhile, toddlers were eager to dress up as pirates, elephants, characters from Disney Pixar’s “Up,” and even the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.  Harry Potter, Michael Jackson, and classic Disney characters such as Mickey and Minnie were the top-searched kids’ costumes.

If you haven’t headed outdoors yet with the kids, take a few moments to brush up on your Halloween safety to ensure it’s a frightfully fun and fearless evening.

And if you’re still pondering what to make for dinner tonight, stop by the supermarket after trick-or-treating ends to pick up ingredients for these last-minute recipes.

After dinner, while the kids are sorting through their candy loot, take a breather and test your candy smarts or keep everyone entertained with free printable coloring pages.

Better yet, gather the whole family and explain the history of Halloween, including why we celebrate certain customs such as trick-or-treating, carving pumpkins, and bobbing for apples (Halloween Traditions for the Family).  Or download our free Carve-a-Pumpkin app to keep the Halloween fun going throughout the night.

Happy Halloween! (and don’t forget to share how you’re celebrating in our Comments section below.)
