Donald Faison is Hysterical in Luvs #Willitleak Campaign

Tuesday, December 23rd, 2014

Insider Images/Andrew Kelly for Luvs (UNITED STATES)

This year celebrity daddy Donald Faison took on a brand-new role when he dressed up as Santa! In partnership with Luvs, Faison shared laughter and Ho-Ho-Hos with diaper-bearing cuties as part of the Luvs #Willitleak campaign at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan on December 9. The event stirred up excitement over a giggle-inducing 23 second “Will it Leak on Santa’s Suit?” video.

Faison says the Santa suit was hot—but hanging out with a bunch of kids was cool. Even cooler: Luvs will donate diapers through the Children’s Miracle Network to families in need, based on how many impressions the “Will it Leak on Santa’s Suit?” video gets by Christmas night!

Faison has one wish this Christmas, and that’s to spend time with family. You should do the same too. He says, “Relax, reload, unwind and get ready for the upcoming year. Spend time with your kids—you just can’t tell me looking at your kid doesn’t make you happy.”

Heidi Klum: “I Try To Live My Bucket List”

Thursday, March 13th, 2014

America’s Got Talent judge Heidi Klum is sure doing “sweet” things to give back! Last week, she partnered with Operation Shower and Babies “R” Us for a “Sweet Surprises” grand-scale baby shower for 125 military moms-to-be. At the event, held at Universal Studios’ Globe Theatre in Los Angeles, Klum showered the expectant moms with joy and much-needed gifts from her Truly Scrumptious collection, available at Babies “R” Us.

Celebrity Baby Scoop also attended the “Sweet Surprises” event and had the chance to catch up with the Project Runway star. The mom-of-four, to daughters Leni, 9  and Lou, 4, and sons Henry, 8, and Johan, 7, chatted about the Operation Shower event, her Truly Scrumptious line, how she balances everything “like other working moms,” and why she feels that she lives her bucket list.

CBS: Tell us why the “Sweet Surprises” baby shower is important to you?

HK: “I think that these women are all very important. They are all military moms or moms-to-be, and their husbands are far away. They don’t get to experience most of their pregnancies with their husbands, so I thought it was nice to put this event together for them to get together, share their stories, and hook them up, so that when the baby arrives they have a crib, a stroller, a diaper bag, lots of diapers and clothes, and everything. I thought it would be a nice gift for them, because their husbands do so much for us.”

CBS: How did you get involved with Operation Shower?

HK: “Through Babies ‘R’ Us. I’ve been with Babies ‘R’ Us now for a little over a year and at the beginning of the year, we always look at the calendar to see what kind of events they are doing. I said that for me, this Operation Shower event was an important one and I wanted to participate and gift a bunch of things to these moms. There were 125 moms invited here today and I think that it’s great!”

CBS: Could you tell us more about your Truly Scrumptious line?

HK: “I do cribs and bedding, lamps, rugs, and stickers for the wall, such as butterflies and monsters for the boys. I also do strollers and I try to make really cool diaper bags. I also do boy’s and girl’s clothes, which go from infant up to five years old.”

CBS: What is the inspiration behind the line? Did you kids help you design any of the items?

HK: “The inspiration is fun! I think that kids should have fun and be comfortable, and I wanted the clothes to be easily washed. You have to wash the clothes all the time because you want them to have fun and get dirty. I have four kids myself and my little ones love color, bright, and bedazzle, and they are not interested in black or white tee shirts or sophisticated things; they want fun stuff. The louder, the brighter, and the more ruffles, the more they are attracted to it.

In regard to whether my kids helped me design the items, my son Johan has done some things for some of the boys’ clothes that I’ve done in the past. He loves to paint, so he designed some monsters that we printed onto the shirts.  All of the proceeds from those shirts went to charity.”

CBS: What is your favorite part about being a mom?

HK: “That is so hard, because there are so many amazing things. I would say the love that you feel with a child. For me, having a family is life and I understood once I had children how amazing it is, and that nothing else is really important but them.”

CBS: How do you balance your career and family life?

HK: “I think I do it like other working moms, it’s just that for me, other people get to see it because I am on TV and do different things. When other moms go to an office from nine to five, I go into a studio and shoot something. It’s the same, but it just looks different from the outside. My hours are similar and I’m quite lucky that I have the weekends off and can ask to start earlier so that I can come home earlier. I have a lot more freedom, in a way. I don’t have a boss, let’s say, where you have to be there at a certain time and stay until a certain time. I am very lucky in that way, as I can say, ‘I want to start earlier because I want to be home for dinner.’ [laughs] It’s great, because I can have both; I can work and be there for my family.”

CBS: What are some of your favorite family activities?

HK: “We love to paint. I also do all of their activities, like they do soccer on Saturdays and gymnastics. They like to change things up too, as they get bored and want to try different things. I have gone through karate stages with them, where for two years they were really into karate and I had to get all of these karate outfits [laughs]. They did karate with the helmets and I had to get all of this stuff for everyone. Then there was the ice-skating phase, and now it is the gymnastics and the soccer phase.

My older son Henry, who is eight years old, is really into flag football now. He is the running back and is quite good! They all were fighting over him and I was like, ‘He’s eight years old! Really, you guys are fighting over that already?’ Those dads are hardcore. [laughs] They want to get the best players, but at this age, I didn’t know because I am from Germany and I am just learning about football. It took me the longest time to realize where he has to run to and what he has to do!” [laughs]

CBS: You have accomplished so much thus far in your career. What else is on your bucket list?

HK: “To be honest with you, I try to live my bucket list. I try to do it all now, because I have the opportunity to. I feel like I am doing my bucket list. If I want to go somewhere, I go there, and if I want to do something, I do it. I am very fortunate that way and I know that. I know that a lot of people have to save money to go to a certain place, and I understand that not everyone can do that. I feel like I am doing my bucket list now.”

CBS: What is up next for you?

HK: “I start shooting America’s Got Talent and I already did castings in New York two weeks ago. I am also going to go to London in a week to shoot a commercial there, then I go back to New York to do America’s Got Talent and then I go right into Project Runway. I am doing all of this back-to-back. I will move my whole family to New York and we will stay there this summer.”

5 Star Parents Who Removed or Altered Their Tattoos

Thursday, February 20th, 2014

Think before you ink!

Some of our favorite celebrity parents have regretted their tattoos.

From Angelina Jolie‘s ‘Billy Bob’ tat, to Mark Wahlberg‘s multiple markings, let’s take a look at 5 celebrity parents that have altered or removed their ink.

Malin Akerman:

New mom Malin Akerman turned the permanent reminder of her failed marriage to Roberto Zincone into a tribute for her 10-month-old son Sebastian.

Zincone filed for divorce from the Trophy Wife star, 35, just seven months after the couple welcomed their first child.

Prior to the split, Malin had a large ‘Z’ tattooed onto her wrist in honor of her husband’s last name. But she altered the ink on February 15 during a trip to Jose Cordova at Miami Ink.

“@josecordova thx for the beautiful tattoo  #miamiink,” Malin captioned her new tattoo via Instagram.

The Rock of Ages actress added an ‘S’ over the ‘Z’ to represent her son’s initials.

Johnny Depp:

Pirates of the Caribbean star and father-of-two, Johnny Depp, once dated actress Winona Ryder. During their whirlwind romance, the actor famously tattooed the words ‘Winona Forever’ to his right upper arm.

Unfortunately the relationship did not last forever and when they split in 1993, Johnny changed the tattoo to read ‘Wino Forever.’

Angelina Jolie:

Academy Award-winning actress Angelina Jolie had ‘Billy Bob’ tattooed on her left shoulder. Prior to her engagement to Brad Pitt, the Salt actress was wed to Billy Bob Thornton from 2000 to 2003.

She has since had the tattoo removed and covered with the coordinates of the birth places of their six children, adding an additional line with Brad’s birthplace. In turn, Billy Bob turned his ‘Angelina’ tattoo into an angel.

Denise Richards:

Mom-of-three Denise Richards once had ‘Charlie’ tattooed on the inside of her left ankle, in honor of her then-husband, Hollywood bad boy Charlie Sheen.

After their divorce, ‘Charlie’ was transformed into a colorful fairy.

Mark Wahlberg:

While many enjoy looking at Mark Wahlberg‘s muscular and inked body, the Ted actor had the “six or seven” tattoos he’s gotten over the years removed. And the actor is taking things a step further – he’s including his two eldest children Ella, 10, and Michael, 7, in the process.

“[All the tattoos] have meaning to me, but it’s both personal and professional,” Mark, also dad to Brendan, 5, and Grace, 3, said.

“I don’t want my kids getting tattoos,” he added. “And I wanted them to be [removed] by the time I did ‘The Fighter’ because putting make-up on and covering them up has always been a pain in the butt.”

He added: “I’ve taken my two older kids to the procedure so they see how painful it is and what I have to go through.”

5 Celebrity Parents on Love & Valentine’s Day Plans

Thursday, February 13th, 2014

With successful careers and growing families, it can be challenging to keep a high-profile marriage happy and healthy.

But for five celebrity couples, including Gena Lee Nolin and husband Cale Hulse, and Hugh Jackman and wife Deborra-Lee Furness, keeping the flame alive is par for the course.

Let’s look at some of our favorite celebrity parents and hear how they keep their love alive.

Gena Lee Nolin:

Mom-of-four Gena Lee Nolin and her husband, former NHL star Cale Hulse, are parents to four children: Spencer, 16, Caia, 11, Hudson, 6, and Stella, 4.

But the Baywatch alum is sure to keep the romance alive amidst their busy family life.

“Love is beautiful when it’s right — it can’t be bought, it can’t be forced and it should never hurt [abusive],” she blogged for Celebrity Baby Scoop. “The moments of hardships and the growing pains we go through together make it real. If it were always easy, it would be a bore. Great things in life are worth fighting for, and that usually requires work.”

She added: “I am so blessed to have found a man who accepts me for me. He’s never once told me what, where or how I should do something. He allows me to be me and loves my silly-willy ways. He encourages my family and friends to be around, he’s a very confident man that wants to see me happy (as I do for him). Unconditional love is such a rare gift — that’s accepting your partner exactly the way they are.”

As for their plans on Valentine’s Day, the couple are planning a romantic evening together.

“This Valentine’s Day will be spent with our children, decorating boxes for school parties and cutting lots of pink and red hearts,” she shared. “Then we’re off for a quiet dinner for two followed by a night at a hotel with my Valentine. Zzzzzzz!”

Alison Sweeney:

The Biggest Loser star Alison Sweeney and husband David Sanov are parents to two kids: son Ben, 9, and daughter Megan, 5.

To keep their marriage strong, the Days of our Lives actress says they enjoy plenty of alone time together.

“Dave and I make a point to have time to ourselves, even if it’s only going for a hike or watching a movie,” Alison shared with Cupid’s Pulse. “This time together enables us to keep our connection strong. We cook dinner together and then watch Survivor or Breaking Bad and just hang out.”

As for her best love advice, Alison said: “Enjoy life, meet people and know that you’ll meet the right guy who will explain all the wrong ones along the way.”

She added, “With Dave, there was definitely a spark that led to our relationship and two incredible kids.”

Alysia Reiner:

Orange Is the New Black star Alysia Reiner and husband, actor David Alan Basche, are parents to 5-year-old daughter Livia. The actress says this Valentine’s Day is especially important to her.

“Lately with David shooting The Exes in LA and me shooting Orange in NYC, we have been sorely lacking in date nights!” she shared with Celebrity Baby Scoop.

She added: “We don’t usually do a big deal for Valentine’s Day. I prefer the surprise flowers, secret love note, or sweep-away weekend to a calendar-enforced box of chocolates any date! But this year is special to me because I co-designed a locket and 100% of the proceeds go to the Women’s Prison Association. So the biggest gift I want this year is a lot of men to buy it for their ladies and raise a ton of money for WPA.”

Hugh Jackman:

Wolverine star Hugh Jackman and his wife, actress Deborra-Lee Furness, have two kids: son Oscar, 13, and Ava, 8. The hunky actor opened up to Your Tango about their “thrilling” love affair.

“I run into people, really powerful, big people, who say, ‘Congrats to you, but your wife is really one of the most talented.’ And every time I hear that, it reminds me of the sacrifice she’s made, her selflessness, her love and what she’s done for the kids,” Hugh shared.

“We always made family a priority but I’m acutely aware, everyday, that actually, when it comes to sacrifices, Deb has shouldered most of those,” he added. “In fact, I was telling her right now, ‘You need to get back to work because you’re just too good to waste that talent. Everyone needs to see it.’”

As for their seemingly perfect family life, Hugh admits he’s not perfect.

“If you ask my wife, the biggest fault is my inability around the house,” he shared. “She says the only thing handy about me is that I’m close by. And, I have a terrible memory. I’m bad at saying no. I often double-book. There are a lot of things.”

“I have a terrific marriage, but unlike a lot of relationships where they ebb and flow, no matter what happens you fall deeper and deeper in love every day,” he said. “It’s kind of the best thing that can happen to you. It’s thrilling.”

He continued: “The thing I find hard is that a lot of people won’t even see her, and they’ll obviously be talking to her to get to me. I’ve seen Deb literally be knocked out of the way. She just knocks ‘em back. She’s a morning person. Deb pops up, and it’s, ‘Come on, baby. Let’s go!’ Yet at night, she falls asleep instantly, sometimes in mid-conversation. She’s fallen asleep during every movie I’ve ever done.”

And lastly, his best relationship advice is: ”Your wife is always right. Very simple. I think I’m going to get it tattooed on my forehead.”

Sarah Rafferty:

Suits star Sarah Rafferty and husband, stock analyst Aleksanteri Olli-Pekka ‘Santtu’ Seppälä, are parents to two daughters: Oona, 6, and Iris, 2.

The actress shared her “offbeat” Valentine’s Day plans with Celebrity Baby Scoop.

“We try to do something offbeat for Valentine’s Day, and don’t ever really celebrate it right on the day. I don’t even try to get a reservation that night for dinner,” she shared.

She added: “Last year, we got a babysitter and we went to a local ski mountain and enjoyed some quick runs and then we were home for dinner with the kids. We like to take hikes. If we can carve out a couple of hours where can talk to each other without being interrupted, we find that to be an incredibly romantic day or night. We’re so tired by the time night comes around as well. I’m a big fan of having a date during the day. We might go out to lunch or to a spa.”

Gwen Stefani’s Top 10 Maternity Looks

Thursday, February 6th, 2014

It’s not often that we choose one celebrity to showcase their maternity style. But when it comes to Gwen Stefani, it’s a no-brainer.

From chic tunics and leggings, to statement jackets and heels, to glam red carpet gowns, the No Doubt frontwoman, 44, has been knocking our socks off with her outstanding ensembles.

Let’s take a look at Gwen’s top 10 maternity looks – so far – while expecting her third son with husband Gavin Rossdale.

While we were still speculating her pregnancy in early September, Gwen donned a shredded tank while out and about in Studio City, Calif., giving us a peekaboo look at her possible baby bump.

In late September (still during the baby bump speculation), the Spiderwebs singer stepped out with 5-year-old son Zuma in Yorba Linda, Calif. Sporting black leggings, heels, and a stylish long top hiding her growing belly, Gwen was all smiles as she headed to a baby shower with her youngest son.

In mid-October, Gwen radiated on the red carpet at the Wallis Annenberg Center For The Performing Arts Inaugural Gala in Beverly Hills, Calif. Accompanied by her husband of 11 years, rocker Gavin Rossdale, the Cool singer dressed her growing baby bump in a floor-length Ferragamo dress with fringe detail.

In early November, the expectant mama looked simply radiant as she headed into a baby shower in Los Feliz, Calif. Joined by her hubby, the No Doubt frontwoman wore a printed maxi maternity dress paired with a floral headpiece.

Gwen was glowing while dropping off her son Zuma at school in Studio City, Calif. in early November. Dressing her growing baby bump in a loose-fitting gray top, plaid jacket, skinny jeans and heels, the Just a Girl singer looked chic as always.

In mid-November, Gwen and Gavin stepped out in Los Angeles, Calif. The expectant parents were seen in Chinatown before visiting an office in Studio City. The stylish mom-to-be kept cozy in a Seraphine Shakira Double Zip Wool Maternity Coat during their outing.

Gwen and Gavin were spotted with their two sons – Kingston, 7, and Zuma, 5 – in Hollywood, Calif. in late November. Joined by the family pooch, the group were seen arriving at Gwen’s parents’ home to celebrate Thanksgiving. Dressed in a red coat to match her signature lips, the No Doubt frontwoman accessorized with black leggings, boots, bag and shades.

The expectant mama stepped out in style in early December while lunching with No Doubt bandmate Tony Kanal at Crossroads Vegan restaurant in West Hollywood, Calif. Looking fabulous in an all black outfit, Gwen accessorized her chic ensemble with a white coat and red boots.

Dressed in matching black and white outfits, Gwen and her sons Kingston and Zuma stepped out for Christmas Eve mass in Los Angeles, Calif. While the singer wore a monochromatic maternity dress to church, the boys donned dapper striped pants and matching bow ties.

The expectant mama shared a super-chic selfie via Twitter. “bump it #allblack #inappropriateshoes #capturethemoment #miracle,” Gwen captioned her pregnant pose in late January. The soon-to-be mom-of-three posed in front of a mirror with her iPhone, showing off her burgeoning belly in a form-fitting black Seraphine tunic over black leggings.

While Gwen gives us so many stunning ensembles to choose from, which is your favorite maternity look so far?

Happy Thanksgiving: Celebrity Parents Share Gratitude

Monday, November 25th, 2013

This post was written by our friends at Celebrity Baby Scoop

To celebrate the festive season, we asked some of our favorite celebrity parents what they are grateful for.

From Holly Madison’s first Thanksgiving with daughter Rainbow and her new husband, to Bethenny Frankel‘s gratitude to her daughter Bryn, to Nick Lachey‘s happy family life, let’s hear how some high-profile parents are counting their blessings this Thanksgiving.

Holly Madison:

New mom Holly Madison has a lot to be thankful for this holiday season.

In September, the former Playboy model married Pasquale Rotella in an over-the-top wedding at Disneyland. And the newlyweds are set to celebrate their 8-month-old daughter Rainbow‘s first Thanksgiving.

“I am thankful for my wonderful husband and baby as well as our close friends and family,” Holly tells Celebrity Baby Scoop.

Bethenny Frankel:

The Real Housewives of New York City alum Bethenny Frankel may be going through a high-profile divorce and custody battle with Jason Hoppy, but the talk show host has a lot to be grateful for this holiday season — thanks to her 3-year-old daughter Bryn.

“This year, I am thankful for my relationship with my daughter and the fact that we are so close,” Bethenny tells Celebrity Baby Scoop. “I am thankful that I truly know what love feels like.”

Nick Lachey:

Multi-platinum recording artist and TV personality Nick Lachey is counting his blessings this holiday season.

“I am mostly thankful for my immediate and extended family,” Nick tells Celebrity Baby Scoop of his happy family life with Vanessa Lachey and their 1-year-old son Camden.

“We are all happy and healthy, which I thank God for,” he adds. “I am also thankful for having my little boy now. This time last year, he was still pretty new at just two-months-old. A year later, it’s amazing to see what kind of boy he is turning into and what he is learning. He’s a lot of fun right now. It’s a great age—we can wrestle and I can teach him stuff. I am thankful for my family, for my wife, for my son, and all the love and joy they bring to my world.”

Nancy O’ Dell:

Entertainment Tonight correspondent Nancy O’Dell says she has “so much” to be grateful for this Thanksgiving.

“Gosh, I am thankful for so much,” Nancy, proud mom of 6-year-old daughter Ashby and stepsons Tyler and Cason, tells Celebrity Baby Scoop.

“But I would say I am most appreciative of the little moments these days,” she adds. “I have really learned to enjoy the simple things these past couple of years. I have my husband to thank for that. He is always telling me to live in the moment. For example, last night after I came home for work, my daughter and I carved and decorated pumpkins together. We had been talking all week about it and planned that last night was the night. I can’t tell you how much I was looking forward to that simple moment with her. It is so much fun to see her eyes light up with excitement about something. She actually squealed out of happiness when I walked in the door last night knowing it was time to carve! And we had the best time, giggling, roasting the seeds, and decorating our front door.”

She continues: “We have also been doing family game night these days. My two boys, my daughter, my husband and I gather around a table and play all kinds of board games and card games. It is such a fun family bonding thing to do and we have great conversations in between turns.”

Natalia Cigluti:

All My Children star Natalia Cigluti and husband, former NASCAR driver Rob Rizzo, are set to have a happy Thanksgiving with their 8-year-old son Kaden.

“I’m very thankful for my family, for my son, for the life I have, and for the people I love who love me,” the Saved by the Bell: The New Class alum tells Celebrity Baby Scoop.

Bruce Boxleitner:

Contagion star Bruce Boxleitner – dad to grown sons Sam and Lee – has a lot to be grateful for this Thanksgiving.

“I am thankful that I am still working,” the Tron actor, who is also dad to son Michael, 23, with ex-wife Melissa Gilbert, jokes with Celebrity Baby Scoop.

“I have been at this for many years, almost forty years, and I am very grateful that I have a good career going,” he adds. “I love what I do and the people I get to work with. It’s a blessing.”

Holly Madison: “Breastfeeding Was A Great Experience”

Thursday, November 21st, 2013

This post was written by our friends at Celebrity Baby Scoop.

New mom Holly Madison is helping women reach their weight loss goals with the Holly Madison Diet. The former Girls Next Door star, 33, has teamed up with eDiets to create a custom diet plan and app for women who want to take control, eat well and stay healthy.

Holly opens up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about her former “unhealthy” eating habits, her 8-month-old “easy” daughter Rainbow, the benefits of breastfeeding and joys of motherhood, and how she’ll feel if Rainbow wants plastic surgery one day.

CBS: Tell us about teaming up with eDiets and creating the Holly Madison Diet. What inspired you to create the diet?

HM: “When I became pregnant, I really got into nutrition and healthy eating for the sake of the baby. I used to be so unhealthy — always running around eating fast food. When I was in the process of losing the baby weight, eDiets proposed working together to come up with a custom diet plan and app.

Revamping my diet was a huge lifestyle change for me, and I’m so interested in nutrition now. I thought it sounded like a really fun idea — and it is fun!”

CBS: Tell us all about the diet. Is it a food delivery program? Or online/mobile diet tips? What kind of support is provided for users?

HM: “When you login to hollymadisondiet.com, you enter your personal statistics, your goals and your preferences. A custom diet is then formulated for you to complete with shopping lists and diet logs so you can keep track of how you are doing. [There are also] recipes and support. It gives you new meal ideas all the time.”

CBS: How did you lose your weight after welcoming your daughter Rainbow? What kind of exercise did you do?

HM: “You know, I only recently started working out and Rainbow is now 8 months old. It was just the last thing I wanted to find time for while I was learning to be a mom and trying to keep up with everything else.

Diet became the biggest factor in my weight loss. Because I was breastfeeding, I had extra incentive to put healthy things in my body and I started to learn to cook because I was staying home with the baby. I used to eat all my meals out.”

CBS: Are you still breastfeeding Rainbow? Do you recommend breastfeeding to women? What are some of your favorite benefits of breastfeeding?

HM: “Breastfeeding was a great experience for me, but I’ve been told by moms I know that I am lucky my baby took to it so easily. Don’t beat yourself up if your baby just doesn’t want to do it and you go the bottle route.

But if you do choose to breastfeed, it’s nice because it burns quite a bit of calories and it kept me more mindful of what I ate because I knew what I took into my body was ending up in my baby’s food supply. ”

CBS: Now that you are a mom, do you have any regrets or different opinions about plastic surgery? How will you advise Rainbow if she wants to have plastic surgery? Would you be heartbroken if she got any plastic surgery?

HM: “I certainly wouldn’t let Rainbow get plastic surgery until she is an adult and it’s out of my hands. I hope she doesn’t feel the need to. I don’t regret the two procedures I had, but I am glad I knew when to stop. I hate the frozen face duck lip look you see on women these days.”

CBS: How do you plan to teach Rainbow about loving/accepting her body and promoting positive body-image? Are you concerned she will compare herself to you and try to live up to your beauty?

HM: “I bet Rainbow will be semi embarrassed of me and want to be totally different. Isn’t that how it works with teenagers [laughs]?”

CBS: How is Rainbow doing? What kind of baby is she? Tell us about the joys of motherhood.

HM: “Rainbow is an amazing, easy baby. I got really lucky! I love her so much and she has inspired me to slow down and enjoy life in the moment. It’s hard to keep up with everything when you are a mom, but you also realize it’s OK to let some of the stuff you used to think was so important go.”
