As the world waits for the first images of North West - the newborn daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West - the question remains: to tweet or to make a deal? Everly

With rumors swirling that Kim’s momager Kris Jenner will introduce her granddaughter on her new daytime TV show, to reported offers of up to $2 million for a magazine cover debut, we await the first images of baby KimYe.

Let’s take a look at the big business of releasing the first photos of Tinseltown’s tots.

It’s been a few years since A-list couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt received a whopping $15 million for the first pictures of their now 4-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. The Jolie-Pitt twins – along with their four other siblings – are now just as famous as their parents.

The debut of celebrity children continues to make headlines. While the demand has not died, many star couples are passing on multi-million

R&B royalty Jay-Z and Beyoncé unveiled the first photos of their daughter Blue Ivy on Tumblr, just a few weeks after her January 2012 birth.

In June, star couple Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum released the first photo of their newborn daughter Everly via Facebook. Levi

For a long time running, PEOPLE magazine had a monopoly on introductory celebaby photos. But today, many stars are turning to competitors who are doling out generous offerings.

Other high-profile parents are releasing their own photos for free via social media. While some do not debut any photos at all, and are simply caught by the paparazzi, as was the case recently for Sarah Michelle Gellar who was spotted for the first time with 9-month-old son Rocky.

Here’s a list of top 10 most expensive baby photos to date. Max and Emme

This post was written by our friends at Celebrity Baby Scoop.

There’s always reason to celebrate a baby’s birth, but when our favorite celebrities add to their families, we can get downright giddy!

1. Blue Ivy Carter

R&B royalty Jay-Z and Beyoncé welcomed daughter Blue Ivy on January 7, 2012. The superstar couple released a touching statement to announce the birth of their first child.

“Hello Hello Baby Blue!” they stated. “We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012. Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven. She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs and it was the best experience of both of our lives. We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support.”

2. India Rose Hemsworth

The Avengers star Chris Hemsworth welcomed first child, daughter India Rose, with his wife Elsa Pataky on May 11, 2012. The Snow White and the Huntsman actor said fatherhood has been smooth sailing so far.

“She’s been great,” Chris gushed of his newborn daughter. “She sleeps very well. Not out of any skill on my behalf, but my wife has been amazing.” The Aussie actor adds that fatherhood has already shifted his perspective: “Just her being here. It’s certainly taken all my focus and attention away from work — or what have you — but that’s the main thing on my brain right now. It’s wonderful.”

3. Samuel Garner Affleck

Already parents to daughters Violet, 7, and Seraphina, nearly 4, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck finally welcomed a son, Samuel Garner, on February, 27, 2012. The proud mom-of-three opened up about their newest family member.

“He is so chill… He reaches when he sees me and he laughs a lot,” Jennifer said. “He thinks I’m super funny. What more do you want?”

4. Olive Barrymore Kopelman

E.T. star Drew Barrymore and husband Will Kopelman welcomed their first child, daughter Olive, on September 26, 2012. “We are proud to announce the birth of our daughter,” the newlyweds announced.

“I can’t wait until I have my children,” Drew said just weeks before welcoming baby Olive. “I love the idea that they don’t have to do something that they have no interest in, that they can do something completely opposite if they want to. I will be so surprised if they don’t want to do something involving food or wine or art, but I’ll be OK with it. I just want to build fun, great things for my family.”

5. Maxwell Drew Johnson

Singer-turned-entrepreneur Jessica Simpson and fiancé Eric Johnson welcomed their first child, daughter Maxwell Drew, on May 1, 2012. And by all accounts, it seems the Fashion Star mentor has taken to motherhood like a duck to water.

“I am so in love with baby Maxwell,” the new mom gushed. “I want to cry every time I look at her. Motherhood is by far the best thing I’ve ever experienced.”

First Mother's DayThis post was written by our friends at Celebrity Baby Scoop.

Happy Mother’s Day!

In celebration of moms everywhere, let’s take a look at Hollywood’s newest matriarchs who will celebrate their first Mother’s Day on May 13. From Beyoncé, to Hilary Duff, to January Jones, look through our list of 10 celebrity moms celebrating for the first time this year.

 Beyoncé:

R&B royalty Beyoncé and Jay-Z welcomed daughter Blue Ivy on January 7, 2012.

Hilary Duff:

Disney darling Hilary Duff and hockey star Mike Comrie welcomed their first child on March 20. “Welcome to the World Luca Cruz Comrie! Tuesday evening, we became proud parents of a healthy 7 pound 6 ounce beautiful boy,” Hilary announced via Twitter. “We are overjoyed and feel like the luckiest parents in the world,” the 24-year-old actress continued. “He is surrounded by so much love!! Mom and baby are both doing extremely well.”

Two weeks after her son’s arrival, the proud new mom shared the first photo of their beautiful boy on Twitter.

Pink:

Pink and husband Carey Hart welcomed their first child, daughter Willow Sage, on June 2, 2011. After welcoming her gorgeous girl, the Grammy Award-winner said, “My life was once whiskey, tears and cigarettes. Now it’s snot, tears and the color of poop. I do miss the whiskey, though!”

“ummm i just have to say that my daughter may be the most bestest amazingest stupendoustest baby ever made in the history of the planet,” Pink gushed about her gorgeous girl via Twitter.

January Jones:

January Jones gave birth to her first child, son Xander Dane, on September 13, 2011. While the Mad Men star has remained mum on the identity of Xander’s father, she’s been open about the joys of motherhood. “I think I went back to set six or seven weeks after, so he was really little,” January said. “I had the baby and the baby nurse in their own room so I could go back and feed him every two hours. If I felt like he needed me, or if he needed to eat, or even if I just needed a squeeze because I was having separation issues, I would go back and see him. It was such a blessing that I wasn’t separated from him.”

And not to mention eating those placenta pills! “I have a great doula who makes sure I’m eating well, with vitamins and teas, and with placenta capsulation,” she said. “Your placenta gets dehydrated and made into vitamins. It’s something I was very hesitant about, but we’re the only mammals who don’t ingest our own placentas. It’s not witch-crafty or anything! I suggest it to all moms!”

Selma Blair:

Cruel Intentions star Selma Blair and partner Jason Bleick welcomed their first child, son Arthur Saint, on July 25, 2011. And like most first-time moms, Selma admits she’s “really obsessed” with her sweet son. “I never want to leave his side,” she said. “I’m one of those hovering mothers and I know it’s really important to have an independent child, so I’m trying to back off, but it’s hard. I love him so much, and he’s so funny and cute to me.”

10 Favorite New Babies in Hollywood

Favorite Celeb BabiesThis post was written by our friends at Celebrity Baby Scoop.

It’s a Hollywood’s baby boom!

From R&B royalty Jay-Z and Beyoncé‘s firstborn child Blue Ivy, and David and Victoria Beckham’s first daughter Harper Seven, to Pink and Carey Hart’s sweet girl Willow Sage, there have been some adorable new arrivals into Tinseltown!

Take a look through our list of 10 beautiful new babies in Hollywood.

Babies of 2012…

Blue Ivy Carter:

R&B royalty Jay-Z and Beyoncé welcomed one of the most highly-anticipated babies in Hollywood, daughter Blue Ivy, on January 7, 2012. The superstar couple released a touching statement to announce the birth of their first child’s birth.

 Samuel Garner Affleck:

We can’t wait to see sweet baby Sam!

After having two daughters – Violet, 6, and Seraphina, 3 – high-profile couple Ben Affleck andJennifer Garner finally welcomed a boy! Their third child, son Samuel Garner, was born on February 27, 2012. “We are happy to announce on February 27, Jennifer gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Samuel Garner Affleck,” Ben wrote on his Facebook page.”

Babies of 2011…

Ever Imre Morissette-Treadway:

Canadian crooner Alanis Morissette and husband Mario “Souleye” welcomed their first child, son Ever, on Christmas Day, 2010. Although she seems a natural, the of You Oughta Knowsinger admits, “I remain baffled at how little I was prepared for what was to come.” “It was all I could do not to cry out for the kind of mothering that I was intending to offer my lil’ one,” Alanis reflected as a new mom. “Someone who could swoop in and just DO THIS FOR ME while they pet my trembling head, while I whimpered in the corner. I remember crying out on a walk up the street, startling a dog. This dog was not easily startled. But no, this motherhood business was my call to rise to. And mine alone,” the ‘Thank You’ singer writes. “And there was no doula alive that could have reached in and taught me what I have learned through experience. There was no midwife who could show me how to grow up, warp-speed from complicated contemplative maiden to accountable matriarch. These things required months of growth and calibrating! And here I naively thought that I would arrive as a MOM at the same time as my lil’ boy arrived as a SON. The latter waaay preceded the former.”

 Faith Margaret Kidman Urban:

At the age of 40, Nicole Kidman gave birth to her first biological child, daughter Sunday Rose, in July 2008 with her country singing superstar hubby Keith Urban. The power couple didn’t stop there — on December 28, 2010 they welcomed another daughter, Faith Margaret, who was delivered via gestational carrier. “Having given birth and then being there to see my child born in that way, I felt so much love for our surrogate, gestational carrier,” Nicole said. She’s also opened up about her “roller-coaster ride with fertility.”

 Flynn Christopher Blanchard Copeland Bloom:

On January 6, 2011, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr welcomed their first child, son Flynn. Baby Flynn has topped the charts as a favorite new tot in Tinseltown!

“He’s a great kid. I love it.” Orlando said of his sweet son. “He’s wonderful [and] laughs more than he cries – we’re very lucky.”

[Flynn is] “the best thing I’ve ever done!,” Miranda gushed. “Every day it just gets better,” she added.

American Baby’s Baby Booty: Announcing…

Thursday, February 23rd, 2012

I was one of those people who planned each of my baby’s birth announcements while I was still pregnant. Grace’s were from a Martha Stewart kit (oh, the things we do for the firstborn!), and Joe’s were from a stationary Web site. Planning in advance, when when I was in nesting mode, was actually a good move. I didn’t yet know

Birth announcements from MyPublisher.com

the birth date or the baby’s weight, but  I knew which font I liked and what border pattern was cute. I planned each announcement, then filled in the details after the baby was born.

But here’s what I did wrong: In my postpartum mania (I’m surely not the only person who felt adrenaline-filled euphoria for a week after giving birth, before I crashed), I got those announcements out fast. Like, mailed out within two weeks of the birth. Very efficient.

Unfortunately…newborns are not the most adorable creatures. I had gorgeous babies, but when I look back at their birth announcements, I cringe a little. I don’t think Grace’s was even in focus! And they were each SO much sweeter-looking a month later. I’m not even going to post their birth announcements here. Though I will show you one-month old Joe, because I need to make up in bragging now what I missed when I created those too-early birth announcements.

Tiny baby Joe

Here’s what you can learn from my mistake. Have a plan for the birth announcements, but don’t worry about mailing them out for a good month. Chances are everyone you’re close to will have seen pictures on Facebook anyway. That means the birth announcement isn’t everyone’s first look at the baby, but it IS the picture that will get stuck up on their fridge. Make sure it’s cute! Beyoncé seems to already know this. She waited a month before posting Blue’s photo online!

To kickstart your birth-announcement plans (or to help you create first-birthday party invites, or thank-you cards, or whatever), MyPublisher.com is letting us give away two $50 gift-certificate codes. The site used to be primarily for building photo books, but they’ve recently expanded to include birth announcements, invitations…lots of good stuff. Just leave a comment here between now and the end of the day on Wednesday, February 29th. You’re welcome to post one comment a day. You can read the full rules here. Goody luck!

She wrote: “NO, I’m not pregnant! I just ate too much carnival food, that time of the month, hurt my back & couldn’t suck my gut in, and need to do cardio!”

Alyson and Alexis are already parents to 2-year-old daughter Satyana.
