10 Model Moms: From Stilettos to Strollers

Some of the world’s most famous models have traded in their stilettos for strollers and the catwalk for the playground.

From Heidi Klum, who has four children, to Cindy Crawford, proud mom of two, let’s take a look at some of our favorite model moms.

Gisele Bündchen

Brazilian beauty Gisele Bündchen is mom to son Benjamin, 3, daughter Vivienne, 3 months, and 5-year-old stepson Jack.

“We feel so lucky to have been able to experience the miracle of birth once again and are forever grateful for the opportunity to be the parents of another little angel,” Gisele and her New England Patriots quarterback husband Tom Brady said after their daughter’s birth.

Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber are parents to son Presley, 13, and Kaia, 11. And it seems Cindy’s kids have inherited mom’s stunning good looks.

At the age of 10, Kaia made her modeling debut for Young Versace. But according to her model mom, her little lookalike won’t be making a career of it any time soon.

“At this point, she’s too young to pursue a career,” Cindy said. “There aren’t even a handful of jobs for a 10-year-old girl. But if she’s 17 and wants to try it…of course, what can I say? She’s really into singing and acting. She kind of jokingly said—I’m not even sure if it was jokingly—‘I might model first because you don’t have to know how to do anything, but then I want to be a baby nurse.’”

German beauty Heidi Klum and her ex-husband Seal are parents to four children: Leni, 8, Henry, 7, Johan, 6, and Lou, 3.

The Project Runway host – who is now dating her bodyguard Martin Kirsten – filed for divorce last April and said that their split was not “devastating.”

“Did I wish for this to happen to my family? No,” Heidi said. “But everyone is healthy. We’re moving on with our lives. If someone got [very sick] – God forbid – that would be a real problem. It’s not what I wanted. It’s not what anyone wanted. But it’s not a real problem.”

Christy Turlington

From the catwalk and magazine covers to healthcare advocate, Christy Turlington has made it her mission to raise awareness about maternal mortality worldwide. The former supermodel has since made the documentary “No Woman, No Cry,” and she is the founder of Every Mother Counts.

Mom to daughter Grace, 9, and 6-year-old son Finn with husband Edward Burns, Christy opened up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about trading in her stilettos for charity work.

“My daughter is particularly proud that it was her coming into the world that changed the course of my life to the extent that it has,” said Christy of how her healthcare advocacy began. “My son is always just happy to have me when he has me, but he’s also very generous and doesn’t mind sharing.”

Alessandra Ambrosio

Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio and her partner Jamie Mazur are parents to daughter Anja, 4, and son Noah, 10 months.

Walking in her model mama’s famous footsteps, Anja and Alessandra recently launched London Fog’s Spring 2013 campaign.

“Anja had a lot of fun, she loved all of her outfits,” Alessandra said. “She was really into the polka dot trench coat.”

6 Celebrity Kids Make Their Modeling Debut

From the Beckhams to the Gerbers, there’s no denying good genes!

So it’s no surprise that Cindy Crawford’s daughter Kaia has taken up modeling at the age of 10. And we weren’t shocked to see the 10-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham posing for the newest Burberry campaign.

Take a look at six celebrity kids who have made their modeling debut.

1. Kaia Gerber

At the age of 10, Kaia Gerber, the stunning daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber, made her modeling debut for Young Versace. But according to her model mom, the now-11-year-old won’t be making a career of it any time soon.

“At this point, she’s too young to pursue a career,” Cindy said. “There aren’t even a handful of jobs for a 10-year-old girl. But if she’s 17 and wants to try it…of course, what can I say? She’s really into singing and acting. She kind of jokingly said—I’m not even sure if it was jokingly—‘I might model first because you don’t have to know how to do anything, but then I want to be a baby nurse.’”

2. Max and Emme Muñiz

At the tender age of two, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony‘s twins (now 4 1/2) made their modeling debut as the faces of Gucci’s children’s line in October 2010.

Alongside their famous mama, the twins looked too cute for words in their designer duds. “It’s the first time I have worked with my kids in that way,” J.Lo said, adding that the twins “had fun” posing.

In honor of the collection, Gucci donated $1 million to UNICEF’s Schools for Africa initiative and $50,000 to Jennifer’s charity, the Maribel Initiative.

“It’s exactly why I’m excited to be a part of this,” said the mom-of-two. “Now there are two Gucci spokesbabies for a beautiful cause!”

3. Ava Sambora

Bon Jovi rocker Richie Sambora and actress Heather Locklear are proud parents to 15-year-old daughter Ava. In March 2010, when Ava was just 12, she made her modeling debut at LA Fashion Week.

The blonde beauty premiered her famous father’s women’s fashion line White Trash Beautiful. Looking beyond her years, Ava was cheered on by her beaming parents as she strutted her way down the catwalk.

“My daughter’s beautiful, she’s gregarious, she’s funny, she’s smart,” Richie gushed. “I’m beyond proud. The only modeling she has really done has been at my shows. That is where we are right now – her priorities are schoolwork and also I believe in maintaining the innocence of children. Before that when she is 18 or 19 she is going to do what she wants to do and I’m going to support her and help her through it.”

A Look at Tinseltown’s Tiny Dancers

Tinseltown has its fair share of tiny dancers. From Sarah Michelle Gellar‘s daughter Charlotte, to Jennifer Garner’s sweet girls, to Heidi Klum’s little mini-me, let’s take a look at our favorite celebrities and their beautiful ballerinas.

Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen’s girls are tutu cute! We recently saw the Confessions of a Shopaholic star taking both of their daughters – Olive, 4, and Elula, 2 – to ballet class in Los Angeles, Calif.

We love to see Sarah Michelle Gellar taking her adorable 3-year-old daughter Charlotte to dance class. Not only do we enjoy seeing this pretty pair, we always love Charlie’s cute dance outfits!

Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross was recently seen enjoying a dance recital with one of her daughters, 5-year-old Eden. With her twin sis, Savannah, nearby, Eden looked so sweet in her pretty pink ballet outfit.

Even throughout her third pregnancy, Jennifer Garner was often seen taking her two daughters – Violet, 6, and Seraphina, 3 – to and from dance class. While she also loves karate, Violet is regularly seen in her dance costumes.

Joel Madden and Nicole Richie are often seen taking their 4-year-old daughter Harlow to and from ballet class. The high-profile couple are also parents to 3-year-old son Sparrow.

Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio has been seen taking her 4-year-old daughter Anja to dance class in her cute tutus. The Brazilian beauty and her fiancé Jamie Mazur are also parents to 4-month-old son Noah.

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott’s son Liam, 5, and daughter Stella, 4, both love to dance! We’ve spotted the sweet siblings going to dance class together — hopefully Hattie, 11 months, and Finn, 3 weeks, will join in on the fun one day too!

Heidi’s Klum‘s litte mini-me, 8-year-old daughter Leni, loves going to dance class. If not ballet class, Heidi is taking her brood – sons Henry, 7, Johan, 5, and daughter Lou, 2 – to karate class. Busy bunch!

Newly single Katie Holmes has been seen toting Suri, 6, in a tutu to and from her dance class. Since separating with Tom Cruise, the actress has also been spotted taking her daughter to gymnastics.

Single mom Denise Richards has been spotted taking her daughters Sam, 8, and Lola, 7, to their dance class. We hope to see their new baby sister Eloise in a tutu too!
