How Is Kate Middleton Staying So Fit?!

prenatal yoga keeps pregnant Kate Middleton fit. There’s a ton of speculation about Kate Middleton’s royal baby-to-be, but we know one fact for sure—and it’s that Kate looks great. How’s she staying in such fantastic shape? According to many reports, the typically active and outdoorsy Duchess is practicing prenatal yoga with a private instructor.

I can already see you rolling your eyes and thinking, “Well, who but the royal family can afford private yoga lessons?!,” but the amazing thing is that anyone can play Kate Middleton for a day (or the full ten months of pregnancy!) with our totally doable prenatal yoga video series. We can’t promise that these moves will suddenly give you a posh British accent (or even give you Kate’s gorgeous figure—a lot of that is genetics, people!) but they will help you look and feel your best.

Have you ever tried prenatal yoga? Would you? Tell us about your pregnancy exercise routine, and share your best tips in the comments.

I never tried prenatal yoga but when I was pregnant I danced classical ballet throughout my whole pregnancy. I think it really helped to keep my hips open and stretched and made for an easy labor. I also did a lot of Pilates on my machine that I have in the comfort of my home. I swam laps too. I think finding what you love and doing it while pregnant is better than not exercising at all. Even walking is a great thing! I would love to try prenatal yoga…maybe if I have a second I can give it a whirl :)

I took prenatal yoga about 2 months into my pregnancy and loved it! It relieved my stress and helped with my lower back pains from carrying the baby. It also prepared me for labor. i was very calm because I used the same breathing technique to get me through the painful contractions while trusting my body to deliver my baby. However, the best part about prenatal yoga is finding peace in my body while connecting with my baby through different stages of my pregnancy. I highly recommend it!

I started taking prenatal yoga at 20 weeks. I am now 38 weeks and feel great.. A bit tired but that is normal! I feel much more relaxed and have really concentrated on my breathing techniques through yoga. Since I have been home from work, starting at 36 weeks, I have been taking prenatal yoga twice a week. I have been extremely active throughout my pregnancy and feel that it has truly made this pregnancy run smoothly and boy has it flown by! I regularly took part and taught spin, and strength conditioning classes along with concentrating on core work. I also continued running until I was about 5 months pregnant. Who said you have to stop you’re workouts? As long as you were conditioned pre-pregnancy you can stick to your routine, of course with some modifications. I highly recommend prenatal yoga and staying fit throughout your pregnancy…oh and a ton of water!!! :)
