American Baby’s Baby Booty: Win a Bundle of NUK!
My kids were both heavy pacifier users. They each stuffed those things in their mouth right through their third birthday. My mom gave me some grief about it, because from what she understood, the pacifiers were going to mess up their teeth. I will admit, Gracie has epically wrong teeth, but not because of her pacifier…some of her teeth are just not coming in, and two of them have grown together. She is an orthodontist’s dream. Joe’s teeth are fine though. So I shrug at the angst about pacifiers. As I see it, they soothed my kids a lot, and they’re even touted by the American Academy of Pediatrics as one way to help prevent SIDS.
If someone asks about orthodontically correct pacifiers, I point them toward the NUK line. In addition to being the bestselling pacifiers in the country, they seem to be the most vigilant about promoting pacifiers that don’t press against a baby’s palate. I’ve met with the company’s experts and heard their description of how the nipples mimic the real thing, and how they’re all built so that Baby can still move his tongue. They take that stuff super seriously. Though as far as I’m concerned, that’s all just gravy on top of the fact that the pacifiers can actually calm a baby down!
NUK goes beyond pacifiers too…they have bottles and cups and other feeding supplies, and they’re all built with orthodontics in mind. To help them spread the word about their extensive (and incidentally, SO cute!) line, we’re going to give one lucky family a box full of NUK products. Post a comment below, up to one comment a day. Maybe tell me what all of you use to soothe your little one, or what you plan to use. (Because I’m not going to pretend that the pacifier is the only weapon in any parent’s arsenal: Usually you have to do something like sit your infant in a swing, sing at the top of your lungs, and make sure the paci is in her mouth at the same time.) We’ll randomly chose one winner who will get 8 NUK Soft OrthoStar pacifiers, 8 NUK Lollipop Orthodontic pacifiers, 4 NUK Orthodontic 10-ounce bottles, and 4 NUK Babytalk Learner Cups. The total value is worth approximately $85, and the contest is open now through the end of the day on Wednesday, August 1. For official rules, please click here. Goody luck!

I was always told that when I was little, I had Nuks! So naturally, if they were good enough for me then they were the best for my kids! My oldest only used his Nuk for about a month, then he didn’t want it, but my youngest just turned 3 and he has about 6 of them left. Everytime we see a new design, I have to get it for him. He only needs it when he is sleepy, and his teeth are fine.
I love NUK and I would love to win!

Our third child is 8 weeks old and we are entering an unknown world! She’s the first of the 3 to like a pacifier AND the first of the 3 to be willing to take a bottle – a real asset as I will be returning to my very part time job as a preschool teacher in the fall. Currently we use the paci in conjunction with a mommy bear or the swing to calm her down… If not for the paci, she would try to nurse 24/7!!

My daughter(age 2) was raised on NUK products. She still uses the bigger sippy cups. I would Love to win this set for my sister, whom is due in October to have a little girl.
I remember those times where my daughter was grumpy and just wanted to fight naptime. A pacifier would calm her right down.
I remember during car rides, a pacifier would calm her down and put her right to sleep, for a peaceful and less distracted ride.
My daughter still sometimes asks for a pacifier but understands its for babies. Now I picture her giving her newborn cousin her pacifier just like she would for her dolls.

My mother exclusively used nuk pacifiers for me and not for my siblings and I was the only child to not require braces. She swears it was the nuk product. So I am using nuk bottles and pacifiers for my own daughter and she absolutely loves them! I love the pink camo one. She’s 9 months now and carries her pacifier around to teethe on and is so cute when she rights it when she feels it upside down.

My daughter is a Nuk baby all the way! Ever since she was born we have been using your pacifiers, bottle, and now sippy cups. I love how big the mouth of the bottles are so when you have a baby in one hand and trying to put forumal or breast milk in in the the other it is not hard to miss the bottle! I highly recommend Nuk I will use it for all my future children and always give them out as baby shower presents!

My son was born with a cleft palate and (aside from the special products made for cleft palates) NUK was the only brand we could use for him! The pacifiers are designed specifically to help a baby use their tounge to suck and it really helped my son get his muscles trained to be able to suck. When he was 8 months old he was able to use a regular bottle (which was 4 months before his surgery to repair it!!) Thank you NUK for helping!! Now we are expecting our second child (a little girl)!
We would love to win the NUK priducts!!

When my oungest was a tiny babe I would have to put him in my moby, give him his nummy (pacifier), put Justin Beiber’s Baby on repeat and bounce to get him to sometimes get him to sleep. Now that he’s older he still has his nummy and I “pot pot” (pat his back or tummy) until he falls asleep. He is almost two now though so we are limiting his nummy time and pretty soon we will have to part with it.

As a grandpa to 4 wonderful grandchildren and another on the way i have always used NUK products on my grandchildren. I love the way their made with orthodontics in mind so i can give them their pacifiers with confidence and no future regret (ex. bad teeth). All of my grandchildren loved the NUK pacifiers, when they would get fussy i’d just sit back on my rocking chair and sing them a lullaby with their favorite NUK pacifiers with them. As they got older we bought NUK sippy cups which they all loved going with us to get because they liked to choose the pattern or color of it, especially Sadie. I’m sure our new addition will love NUK too.

My son will only take a nuk binky. He loves them and will not give it up. We have hit a throwing stage and he has lost a lot of them so this would be great

I have recently discovered Dr. Harvey Karps Happiest baby on the Block. I’ve been using his techinques to soothe my 2 week old daughter. Works like a charm. Also, she loves to be swaddles and white noise cd’s always help to soothe her!

My 2 1/2 week old daughter loves the NUK soft ortho-star! I bought a set before she was born but I didn’t think about bringing them to the hospital with me and she hated the one they give you in the hospital. I have gone out to buy more soft ortho-star but can only find the design ortho-star. This would be a huge gift if I won!

I’m really big on researching things before I use them. I have been reading about Nuk since the first trimester and it looks like a winner. First baby is coming in November. I’m feeling nervous and excited.

I use NUK paci’s for my son. He was sent home with one from the hospital, and he loves them. They look so darn cute going in and out of his mouth as he soothes himself off to sleep. I love knowing that the ‘nukie’ is something that will keep him calm, and is safe.

My 5 week old daughter uses the NUK “ninny” to help soothe her while in the hospital. That, along with being swaddle seems to help soothe her especially when i can’t be there with her. My son, was very attached to his NUK “ninnys”, he didnt want to give them up. He is now 3 and doesnt use them anymore but they were a life saver when he was younger! He now uses the NUK sippy cups
