American Baby’s Baby Booty: Win a Self-Folding Stroller!

Two amazing features of the new 4Moms Origami stroller really stand out: It folds itself at the touch of a button, and it lets you charge your cell phone while you roll. It’s a techie dream machine. This thing even has headlights! They’ve engineered it so that it can’t fold if anything is on that seat; that way you can’t fold your baby in there by accident. (Watch Ellen demonstrate it on her show.)

But I have to talk about the other cool feature: It’s from my hometown, Pittsburgh! There’s plenty of good that comes from my city (the Steelers, Pittsburgh Dad, Eat n Park) but it’s especially exciting for me, being the products editor at American Baby, to find some cool baby gear from the ‘burgh. Since 4Moms was born there, we’ve shown their innovative Cleanwater bath tub, and more recently, their MamaRoo in our article on Tia Mowry (she’s a fan!).

Being the cool Pittsburgh people they are, 4Moms will let me send one of you lucky ducks the new Origami stroller, which retails for $850. That’s right, it’s a luxury-priced stroller! Just leave a comment below. You can post up to once a day. Tell me your must-have stroller feature. (For me folding small is key, so the Origami is pretty great for that.) You can read the full rules here. The giveaway starts now and ends at midnight on Wednesday, the Fourth of July 2012. And I’ll leave you with an image that my Pittsburgh friend Emily took, of the city at the end of a double rainbow. See you in September, Pittsburgh friends!

Having this as my stroller would be a dream come true! The best part for me is that it looks so safe and durable! and being a first time mom that’s so important to me! Also the fact that you can attach your cell phone is great for me as well my baby loves listening to music also hearing his dads voice when he calls on speaker phone (he lives in Miami) so its just my son and I but we are a great team! We just need the right wheels!! :)

What a piece of cake is this stroller . All the nice features it comes with are great. Love that you wont fold baby inaide of it and you can open/close with a touch of a button . Even though I dont ride my baby out at night, I love the headlights and its just brilliant. This baby (the stroller) would make a nice baby shower gift. Not only because I dont have one for my baby who is due on July 19. But im still loooking forward for one like this. love this stroller and baby will too.. lol

Incredible Stroller! If I made a list of must have on strollers, this one would be the STAR! It looks to be extra durable, efficient, most of safe.

I am a grandmother with a chronic pain disorder, so rolling my grandchild in this would be so easy on me. Also, I have to say, there isn’t a nice stroller on the market that I can easily fold. With 10 grandchildren, I’ve tried most strollers, experience speaks! The strollers I have purchased in the past, get put in the back of the van, just as it is when the baby is out! LOL! (not folded!)

The must have feature I would have to have is somewhere to store my cell phone. I talk on my phone and play music while my angel is quick to sleep. And as I jog that’s the only thing that well put her to sleep is soft music so thats a very important feature for me. :)

  14. by Holly

    On June 29, 2012 at 9:27 am

There are three major factors I am considering when choosing my stroller…how compact it folds up, how practical it is for my daily needs and safety. First, my husband and I do not have the money to buy an SUV or larger vehicle to accommodate a stroller. Therefore, any stroller we purchase MUST fit in my Corolla’s truck- not an easy feat! Secondly, we live in a neighborhood with hills and no street lights. I want to continue my walking routine with my son once he gets here, so having these headlights is a dream come true!! I could keep walking the lovely hills of our neighborhood, while having some light and safety for my son as the sun sets. Since seeing this stroller on Ellen, I have been obsessed and especially love how high it has been rated for safety! Nothing but the best for my baby…so long as I can afford it! : )

    On June 29, 2012 at 9:28 am

I love the fact that it folds so easily. My fiancee is in construction and can fix anything – expect baby gear. Knowing that it would fold at the touch of one button means that I know he would be able to do this on his own! He has a daughter from a previous relationship and he still has yet to figure out how to fold up the baby gear – pack n play, stroller, high chair, you name it! This stroller looks amazing!

    On June 29, 2012 at 9:35 am

Oh man this would be a dream come true. My son has this habit of wanting to go out after dark, he’s 1. we usually walk to the park, it’s not dark and it’s nice around 8. the longer we stay walking around the easier it is for him to fall asleep. This would be a dream come true. Our neighbor hood isn’t bad but sometimes there are things between the streetlights that I cant see and i step on. >> a flash light would seem strange to carry around but lights on a Stroller! oh my goodness what a great idea! Also would let cars know were there!

My cell phone sucks battery life up, so the charger would be good during the day when me and my son are rolling around town! Not to mention his stroller is so bulky and obnoxious that its hard to keep putting it in and out of the trunk. :/

I would love this to no end and it would get miles of use :D day and night!

My must have feature is that the stroller is easy to fold and unfold. I feel like most of the time I spend more time trying to figure out how to open/fold my stroller than actually using it! This stroller looks amazing for foldability.

Talk about strolling into the future. This baby gear seems like something pulled right out of a sci-fi flick! My 16 month old would look like a lil Marty McFly in this stroller :) and I’d look pretty cool, too.

    On June 29, 2012 at 9:40 am

A stroller that I can put a couple of bags of groceries in or hang off the handles is key. Right now we only have an umbrella stroller and that works, but you can’t put too much in it or it tips. Wheels are also important because I have to take it up and down 4 steps to get in and out of my apartment. I’ve dreamed of a place to hold my cell phone so I can read messages and still push with both hands and a cup holder would be cool too. Now I’m just dreaming :)

  33. by BethMWD

For us, it’s important that the stroller easily collapse and fold. We also need a sturdy stroller because our little guy is a big boy and we have two black labs who like to go along for walks too.

This stroller is the absolute most awesome thing I’ve ever seen, lol ..for real! It would solve my problems ..because my phone dies all the time when I’m out and about so the stroller could charge it up while I’m taking my little boy for a stroll while also being easy to fold up ..with the touch of my button!! That’s just amazing. This would be awesome to have.

Safety is number one priority feature Id look for in anything for my baby. But the extra feature that it charges my phone would make my husband dance with joy! He gets annoyed cause my phone is always dead. (in fact, im using the ipad now, since the phone is right besides it, dead) I use it so much that no extended battery nor full night charge, nor extra battery covers help. Lol so that stroller would come extremely handy and useful for us!

I had gotten a travel system for my shower and thought it was the best stroller until I decided to use it! Lol With this being said, after reading how easy this one was to fold and that it charges your cell…well I am totally wishing I would have asked for something more practical. A must have is folding up to talk up as little space as possible. This automated folding stroller would just be perfect for me. Being a single mom with no my baby’s father being non-existent, it is definitely hard to always take care of a stroller and bags by myself, all the time. I would love to have this stroller!

I love the fact that this stroller has tons of storage! When you have to bring a bulky diaper bag everywhere you go, having a large enough space to store it on your stroller is key!

I could not say enough about this stroller. It is a dream stroller that can make being a mother little easier. I would love to use this on our daughter and future children. My husband would also love to use this stroller because he is an electronic freak. He loves to use things that are technologically forward. Please consider me for the stroller.
