Donate to the UNICEF Tap Project for World Water Week

Clean tap water is something most of us take for granted, and something 900 million people (almost half of them children) don’t have. During World Water Week (March 20-26) parents and children have the opportunity to participate in the annual UNICEF Tap Project, which aims to raise awareness about the world water crisis and to gain support for the children it affects.

For World Water Week, UNICEF has teamed up with more than a thousand restaurants across the country to ask customers to donate $1 (or more) for the tap water they usually get for free.  Just $1 can provide a child with safe water for 40 days.  The money will help provide clean water and support sanitation programs in Togo, the Central African Republic, and Vietnam. See a full list of participating restaurants here.
