‘Grover 2.0’ Is Here to Educate Kids on Sesame Street

groverGrover will be observing, questioning, investigating, and reporting on problems across the planet this week on Sesame Street, as part of a new “Super Grover 2.0” segment that began airing on PBS Kids last year.  This year’s segment will continue to focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), part of the “Educate to Innovate” initiative President Obama launched in 2009.  Since it was featured in 2010, “Super Grover 2.0” has become the favorite segment among preschoolers (4- to- 5 year olds).

According to Dr. Rosemarie Truglio, Vice President of Education and Research, Sesame Workshop, the segment encourages children to become “active participants in the processes of scientific inquiry” and helps kids increase their vocabulary and knowledge of the world.

Grover’s adorable superhero costume is enough to get us watching!

Grover was always my kids favorite. When Grover spoke, my kids listened. If anyone can teach STEM, Grover can!
