Parents Blog Roundup
At the beginning of the year, everyone always asks what my best memory, most embarrassing moment, or biggest achievement of the previous year was. It’s always fun to think back and reminisce about the sentimental and sometimes hilarious moments. All & Sundry answered a thoughtful questionnaire that I just had to share.
“15. Compared to this time last year, are you:
– happier or sadder? Happier.
– thinner or fatter? Stronger, but probably fatter at the moment.
– richer or poorer? Financially poorer, most definitely.
16. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Traveled, even just around Washington. Written for fun rather than for deadline. Taken more photos. Turned off all electronics.
17. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Gotten spun up about a house sale that never happened. Embarked upon junk food binges that lasted for days.”
I’m the first one to make fun of a Snuggie but I secretly really want one. Who wouldn’t want to be engulfed by that fantastic fleece blanket? Check out this DIY Snuggie.
“So started with the yards of University of Utah fleece I bought on sale and finally made my kids the knock-off Snuggies (you know, the blankets with sleeves?) I promised them! Perfect for snuggling up and playing their new Wii.”
Cooking for two can be tough. Most recipes yield at least four servings and figuring out the right proportions can be tricky. Luckily Grill-A-Chef came up with great one pot meals for two!
“Enter – stage left – the “one pot meal.” A square meal with enough chutzpah to leave you satisfied, and with leftovers, but only requires one pot. “
I know from working at Parents that it can be tough to dress a pregnant body and many women feel it’s a waste buying a whole new wardrobe just for 9 months. This mommy does it best, pairing every day staples with modern maternity wear.
“I was surrounded by a waiting room full of women, a lot less pregnant than me, wearing sweatpants and oversized puffer jackets. One woman was actually wearing flannel pajamas, though it was a combination of two different sets of pajamas – the top was bright red with blue cartoon characters and the bottoms were purple with green streaks.”
Speaking of fashion, this blog is all about adorable kid’s fashion. Is it weird that now all I want is a baby so she can be featured on this blog?
Make sure to look at little Ariyana, I love her jean jacket!Add a Comment
