Your Proudest Achievements of 2010
Over on the Parents Magazine Facebook page, we asked earlier today, “What’s your proudest achievement from 2010?” Tons of people posted their responses, and we are overwhelmed by all your amazing accomplishments from the year that’s about to end. So many of you had new babies, others are proud of their toddlers’ milestones, and others took major steps in your own personal and professional lives.
Here are just a few of the amazing things you said:
Jen Melcher Mayo Having our daughter, she was born 6 weeks early. Luckily 2.5 weeks in the NICU and she is now fine and healthy!
Gabriela Thome Finishing school while parenting as a newly single mother!
Alexis Arce My daughter giving up bottles, binks, sleeping with me & now potty training. She’s amazing. also my 2nd healthy pregnancy & being promoted at my job!
Tia Andrews Got my GED and started college to give my daughter a better future
Ashley Bores In 2010 I got married, bought a house, quit my job to be a full time mom, and got pregnant with my third child! It was by far the BEST year of my life and I’m ready for many more with my amazing family.
Shanna Vonfumetti Wyllie Surviving almost life ending pregnancy and giving birth 15 weeks early to my little hero, who is growing strong and knocking down all the walls, he is AMAZING. Also, taking in and adopting my 15 year old cousin after the passing of his father in April
April Cocco Getting over my nervousness and breastfeeding in public!
Valerie Beza Went to school full time, worked full time, gave all my extra time to my 2 year old and my family. And I still managed to get straight A’s!
Lindsey Belleque I snagged a job (I start in Jan.) that will bring in more income than my husband. He’s been working his tail off for the last two years like crazy, so it’s nice to relieve some of that weight off his shoulders. Now we both have career jobs that will help support us, and hopefully set up a good future for our son.
Karen McIlwain Millner Having the guts to quit my job to stay home with my babies. Best thing I could have done. It’s worth the income decrease. I’ll never get these years back!
