On Thursday, 10 million kid toys and high chairs were recalled by Fisher-Price. The biggest of the recalls: trikes that can cause genital bleeding. See all of the recalls here and here.
Sleep Positioners and SIDS:
This week, the FDA and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a warning against sleep positioners. The sleep aids pose a big danger to babies: Over the past 13 years, 12 babies between ages 1 and 4 months were suffocated by a sleep positioner.

Most Bizarre Fundraising Effort:
Bacon Salt created a statue of Kevin Bacon–made out of bacon! The company is hoping to raise more than $10,000 for Ashley’s Team, a non-profit that helps childhood cancer patients and their families, by selling the statue. As of Friday, the bidding on ebay.com was over $500.
