Be in Parents: Scrambling For After-School Child Care?

3877247637_c44d0a987c Has the bad economy—layoffs, pay cuts, increased work hours—forced changes in your child care arrangements? If
you're scrambling to cover child care, especially in the critical after
school hours, we'd like to hear how you are coping or what hard
decisions you have had to make.
Maybe your child care program has lost funding, is operating with reduced services or has long wait lists. Maybe
you have changed your work hours or split shifts with a spouse. Or
maybe you have had to give up child care because it is too expensive
and are now trying to cobble together other options.

This is a great issue to cover. The school schedule is a mess for working families! I have wake my 1st grade daughter at 6:45am to get her out the door by 7:30am for an 8:10am start of the school day. She is done with school at 3:15pm, but sits in after-care until 5:30pm, so we get home by 6pm, and scramble through homework, dinner, dishes, bath & bed to start again the next day. By the end of the week, she is exhausted! If school started later, she could get a little extra sleep and spend less time in after-care, and not be a wreck by the end of the week!

Thank you for your site post. Thomas and I are already saving to get a new book on this matter and your short article has made us all to save money. Your thoughts really solved all our problems. In fact, greater than what we had recognized previous to the time we found your superb blog. My partner and i no longer nurture doubts including a troubled mind because you completely attended to our needs in this post. Thanks

When I originally commented I clicked the ?¡ãNotify me when new comments are added?¡À checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get three emails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove people from that service? See ya!
