Be in Parents: Do You Get Free Childcare?

167424248_4e11fecd1e We’d love to hear from working parents who have found creative ways to avoid paying for day care or a sitter. Do grandparents watch your kids for free? Do you take your kids to work with you? Trade off child-watching with friends? Work opposite shifts from your spouse? Please share your story. Email tcwrites@gmail. Be sure to include your kids' ages and where you live.

New Hampshire. My sister-in-law watches my 2 children (age 2 & 4) at a discounted rate. She charges us 2 kids for the price of one. Also, my cousin helps with 1/2 day preschool transportation. She picks up my son and her son and brings my son to my sister-in-law’s house. When my cousin needs help watching her son, I help her out in return.

I usually try to get my friends who have children watch my kids in return I watch there’s on my time off. I can’t always do this but every little bit does help us out.

We combine nanny sharing time for times all parents are working and cover for each other in half-day increments during those “odd” days when there is no public school (eg. teacher training days, early release conference days). Advance planning helps everyone easily make arrangements.

Greetings from Carolina! I’m bored at work so I decided to browse your blog on my iphone during lunch break. I really like the information you present here and can’t wait to take a look when I get home. I’m shocked at how quick your blog loaded on my phone .. I’m not even using WIFI, just 3G .. Anyhow, good site!

Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this blog. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very hard to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and visual appearance. I must say you have done a superb job with this. Additionally, the blog loads super quick for me on Safari. Superb Blog!
