Friday Night Movies

This Week’s DVD Goody:

I know that I’m probably a bit too old for Santa. But I’m starting my own wish-list anyways. And the first thing I’m asking for is the Gilmore Girls: The Complete Series Collection, out on DVD now. We all secretly want to be that cool mom who is beloved by everyone on the block, can make snappy comebacks on the spot, and raises an annoyingly perfect kid (who’s also your best friend). And while most of us in the real world will never have all that, it’s nice to watch Lauren Graham pull it off so well. The sad thing is I already own all seven seasons of the show on DVD, but I still want it because the packaging is just so darn cute. I mean, look at the genius box design and booklets! Too fab! Now that you know what I want, tell us which TV show on DVD or movie you hope to find under the tree this year.

Kid-Friendly DVDs:

Blue’s Clues: Blue’s Room–World Travelers

DuckTales: Volume 3

Hi-5: Wonderful Wishes, Vol. 4

The Littles: The Complete Series

Pokémon: Season 1, Part 2

Shrek the Third

Spongebob Squarepants: Spongebob’s Atlantis SquarePantis

TaleSpin: Volume 2

FilmThis Week’s Big-Screen Goody:

Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium (rated G)

Kourtney’s Cult Classic of the Week:

The Princess Bride (20th Anniversary Edition)

The Put-Your-Kids-to-Bed-First Pick of the Week:

Ocean’s Thirteen
