No More Bath Battles

637 With an 11-year age span between my two kids, it often takes me a while to recall the tricks that worked with my oldest one. My 2-year-old has never loved baths—in fact, I can count on one finger the number of baths during which she hasn’t cried when it was time to wash her hair—and now she’s learned how to say, “I think we should skip the bath tonight.” I was relieved when I finally remembered what worked for my eldest: coloring the bath water with little tablets that look like the ones you use on Easter eggs. I’m pretty sure that Tub Tints, the product we used to use, has been discontinued, but last week we got Rub A Dub Color Your Tub, made by Alex, and now she’s been asking to take a pink bath (or a purple or orange one). Crayola also makes similar Color Dotz. The tablets come in red, yellow, and blue, and so they’ve also introduced her to color mixing (two blue tablets plus one red=purple, etc.). Fortunately, she doesn’t come out of the tub looking multi-colored.

These are too cute! Do they turn your tub colors after they are done?
