Goodyblog Hearts Dads…

And dads heart their kids (duh). But are employers doing enough to encourage a healthy balance between work and family life? Maybe not. Check out these stats from the Monster Intelligence Father’s Day survey:
* More than half of working fathers (58 percent) feel their employer should be more considerate of the needs of working dads.
* If money were no object, 68 percent of dads would consider being a stay-at-home parent.
* And the workplace benefit fathers appreciate most is a flexible work schedule, followed by telecommuting, onsite child care, and paid paternity leave.

So here’s a question for all you goodydads – what do you wish your workplace would do differently to make your work/ family life balance a little easier? Or are you already a stay-at-home dad? Goodymoms, feel free to share your two cents as well!

I agree! Dads definately aren’t treated equally in the workplace when it comes to parenting. Dad’s rarely get any empathy when they have to call in to take care of the kids or leave early to pick up a sick child. The workplace seems to create an environment where it is frowned upon to be a really good dad. So very sad.
