We went over to our good friend Jenn’s house the other day. She has a great camera and we went a little crazy capturing the consistent happiness and playful personality of the little dude. God, I just want to eat him. He is delicious…and dare I say, actually pretty?
When he was born I wrote about his almost elfish personality. I even took a picture of his pointy ear. Well, the ear is a normal round shape now, but I still think his personality is all elf. In a mischievous, playful, delightful way.
At 7-months, he is sitting up on his own.
Sorry, can’t resist. Gotta put one of Fia here with her best friend, Grover…
And her best friend Aggie. Fia loves big girls!

My little guy. What can I say. I gush. I swoon. I am madly in love. We always say to them, “My two kids.” Fia now says, “Mommy, hold you. Your two kids.” I swoop them into my arms.
Through tears, I wrote this week about how fast they grow up. Through frustration, I wrote about how little time I feel I have. Both are issues I think most of you can relate to. Some days are better than others. There is no solution other than to try and be in the moment as much–and as best–as you can.
I noticed Emmett’s feet the other day. The bottoms of them have little X’s. He also has a crease on his big toes. I wonder what a palm reader would say? Maybe he’s destined for greatness? Or, to just be happy. Because I swear, I don’t know how The Divine did it, but the universe gave me the world’s most perfect baby boy. Happy, lively, full of spirit. I love to suck on his toes. He likes to suck on my chin. He is delicious. So today is all about Em.
Look at that Tooshie!

My controversial boob post caused me to miss Fia Friday. Gasp. I’m sure all of you are waiting with bated breath to see pictures of my children. And while they aren’t nearly as interesting as the boob stories, (including Time Magazine’s) I can emphatically say they are prettier. Especially when Wayne Sanchez is involved.
My Cat Has No Boundaries

We took a picture of Fia at about 3 months laying on her then-brother, Wayne Sanchez. Now she has a real brother and the cat is just, well, a cat again. But we thought Emmett deserved a turn as well.
Can you tell who is who? Ignore the color of the clothes. Both outfits are/were Fia’s. Phil thinks our babes look identical. I don’t think so…though definitely brother-sister. And isn’t Wayne the picture of perfection as well?

We have a new game. It’s called Moving the Stuffs. As in stuffed animals. We do it around 5:30 at night when I have to feed Emmett and wait for Phil to get home. It’s a great way to keep the evening chaos at bay. Fia, Em and I go to her room–and enclosed environment– and bring her basket of stuffed animals to her crib. She methodically throws them over the rail, one by one, until about 53 animals are in there. Then she goes in. After a while, she methodically throws all but the sesame characters back in. Those friends accompany her all night.
It’s fun to see her entertaining herself like this. It gives me a chance to feed Emmett and watch her play. Two of my favorite things in life, actually.
After we cleared the crib, I put her and Emmett together. They light up when they are around each other. They are going to be the best of friends. I can just tell.
