Sweet Book for Valentine’s Day

Wednesday, February 13th, 2013

Research Chief Beth Honeyman has the perfect book to read to your child for Valentine’s Day. She reports:

Ever since my parents gave me The Day It Rained Hearts nearly thirty years ago, I’ve had a soft spot for the simple holiday tale. It’s a sweet story of a girl who crafts a quartet of valentines from a most unusual weather event, and my copy has traveled with me through childhood, college, and beyond. After my daughter was born, I was thrilled to discover the picture book was still in print. Now five-year-old Evie and I read her copy of the story together while she ponders the perfect valentines to make for her own pals.

For non-holiday preschool book suggestions, see the list from our sister publication, Parents magazine.
