In our office’s epic ninja editor battle, Editorial Assistant Jordan used her lightning-quick gaming skills to defeat Contributing Editor Charlotte. That’s how it went down yesterday when our staff took a break to try out the new Wii U gaming system and Nintendo Land game.
I first wrote about the Wii U for the Tech Guide in our December/January issue. I’ve always been a sucker for multi-player games (I would rather play with my three boys than alone, even if they do regularly whip me). The system’s tablet GamePad adds a new twist to multiplayer events by featuring for-that-player’s-eyes-only content. That’s key in games such as Luigi’s Ghost Mansion, a mad-cap chase in Nintendo Land. Wii U, Ages 5 and up, starting at $299. Nintendo Land, Ages 10 and up, $59.99.
