It’s February vacation week for some folks. And that usually means looking for things to help keep the kids entertained!
Associate Editor Joy Howard recently found a new cookbook, Marshmallow Madness, that’s full of sweet recipes for families to make together. She reports:
Shauna Sever’s yummy cookbook Marshmallow Madness! is filled with homemade classic marshmallow recipes, along with tons of tips and techniques. But the real stars here are all the fun flavors and varieties with kid-appea, such as bubble gum and root beer float (there’s a small section just for grown-ups too). Additional recipes that incorporate marshmallows — think s’mores cupcakes — let little chefs take their new found know-how to the next delicious level. ($16.95)

Senior editor Debra Immergut is working on a kid-friendly kitchen story for FamilyFun’s May issue. One of her finds? This very funny shark oven mitt from Fred Flare ($18).
