The book Kokeshi Style, by Annelore Parot, is chockfull of kimono design inspirations. (Kokeshi are small, kimono-wearing Japanese dolls). Part art lesson, part workbook, the well-designed tome offers tips on designing patterns and accessories as well as pages to cut out and paste for a kimono-draped take on paper dolls.
