Not so fast! Before I announce the winner, let’s recap the “nominees” aka all of the lovely pregnant stars of 2013 (well, most of them—there isn’t enough space or time to go over every single one of them but these are the highlights!).
In the newsmakers category we have Kate Middleton, who was the picture of perfection—period. Jessica Simpson was a boho goddess in major maxis. Though Kim Kardashian was often criticized for her fashion (and her pregnancy weight gain), I think she was graceful under pressure (that said, note to pregnant women everywhere: a head-to-toe, long sleeve, high-neck rose-patterned gown is not a good look—ever).
As for our favorite musicians, Shakira’s hips didn’t—and still don’t—lie. Even nine months pregnant, she was just as perky and petite as ever (how’d she do it?). Fergie was able to maintain her rocker edge from start to finale (I wanted an encore!). Gwen Stefani has been the master of (bump) disguise in fashion-forward staples any girl would die for (especially me!).
Then you have the sweet girl-next-door types who’ve melted our hearts with every interview or Twitter post about what it means to be a mom: Drew Barrymore (I am eating up every gushing word she utters!), Jennifer Love Hewitt (I wish your mom was still alive to see your adorable bump!), Kristen Bell (cuteoverload!), and Jenna Dewan-Tatum (who was one of the most stunning pregnant women ever! Am I right?).
And we can’t forget the mamas-to-be who just recently surprised us all with their pregnancy news: Kelly Clarkson (sending morning sickness-ending vibes your way, girl!), Olivia Wilde (the kid’s going to have looks and humor!), Ginnifer Goodwin (yes, I’m a little jealous! First, you had an on and off-screen fairytale romance, now you’re getting your happy ending!) and Kerry Washington (brains, beauty and unbelievable style!).
And the title for most Googled pregnant woman of 2013 goes to…drum roll, please! KIM KARDASHIAN! Now here’s the top 10 list of the most Googled pregnant babes of 2013 in descending order:
1. Kim Kardashian
2. Kate Middleton
3. Megan Fox
5. Jessica Simpson
6. Halle Berry
7. Tamar Braxton
8. Olivia Wilde
9. Kerry Washington
10. Jennifer Love Hewitt

Drumroll, please. It’s gender reveal time for Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green. Well, it’s safe to say there will be a lot more of the color blue in their future. That’s right—they are expecting another boy! According to In Touch, the couple, which has been married since 2010, is adding another son to their growing brood, which already includes big brother Noah, who turns 1 later this month (as well as Megan’s stepson, Kassius, 11, who is Brian’s son with ex Vanessa Marcil).
The speedy pregnancy just months after Noah was born was reportedly a happy surprise for the pair, who first met on the set of the sitcom Hope & Faith in 2004. It’s no secret that Megan wants a big family, and that being a mom is now her number one priority. After having son, Noah, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles star told Marie Claire UK: “Acting isn’t my job anymore. My job is to be with him. All I wanted to do my whole, whole life was have a baby and, now, I’ve finally done it. I just want to give Noah as much of myself as I can. And I want to have more kids. That is where my heart is.”
Congrats to Megan and Brian! Having a son myself (and no girls to compare him to), I can say boys are the best!

I have to give Anger Management star Brian Austin Green (who will forever be David Silver to Beverly Hills, 90210 fans like myself) credit where credit is due. He is one incredibly smart man! When People magazine asked him how he’s helping to keep his wife, Megan Fox, happy during her second pregnancy, his answer was simple: “I just do whatever she asks for and I say ‘Yes,’ no matter what it may be.”
Hmmm…if I was Megan, I know what I would ask for if I was pregnant again: Daily foot rubs? Uh-huh. Back massages in the morning after a restless night and again in the evening to help take away the pain and lull me to sleep? Check and check. Fill cravings for super-spicy Indian food with a take-out run? Yes, please. Go for groceries at all hours of the night for salt & vinegar potato chips, juicy pineapple and pints of ice cream in every flavor imaginable? That’s the ticket!
Oh-so-sweet Brian’s so willing to do anything and everything for his baby mama for all of the right reasons—because he loves her and he’s in absolute awe of her ability to handle the ups and downs that come with pregnancy. “She’s doing great,” he told People. “I couldn’t do it!” Well, Megan, already has done it. She gave birth to son, Noah, just 11 months ago.
I agree, Megan is a superwoman. Having back-to-back pregnancies has to be tough, and soon enough, she’ll have two kids under two—which will be challenging too. But it sounds like she’s going to have a lot of help with hands-on dad, Brian, by her side. All men should take a page out of Brian’s Pregnancy Playbook!

Ten months after giving birth to son, Noah, Megan Fox is pregnant again! (Presumably she’s at least three months along since she’s making the announcement.) Jessica Simpson’s daughter Maxwell was just seven months when the mompreneur announced she was pregnant again with son Ace. Jessica admitted her son was a surprise, but Megan has said she’s always wanted a big family, so she could have planned this pregnancy to have her kids be close in age.
Experts advise a woman should wait at least 18 months before getting pregnant again to allow for her body to go back to her pre-baby shape and prepare for another pregnancy. But many moms swear by having their kids close in age, known as “baby bunching”. That way, mom and dad can get all of the hard years out of the way at once. You’re still used to changing diapers and running on zero sleep, so it’s less of a shock to your system. Bonus: since the oldest is still so young when baby #2 comes along, it’s less likely he/she will be jealous, or have that famous sibling rivalry so many parents worry about.
Soon enough, they’ll be enjoying the same activities too, so you don’t have to entertain each of them separately. And they’ll be going to the same school at the same time for quite a few years, which makes it convenient for pick-ups and drop-offs. Also, many daycares and classes offer discounts for siblings, so it’s a money-saver too.
Speaking of money, strollers, car seats, clothes—everything is so expensive. So it’s nice that you can recycle gear easily without having it sit in storage for years, taking up space. And for working moms, it’s great to just take one long break for having kids rather than having her career be interrupted a few times, which can make it harder to climb up the corporate ladder.
Of course one of the biggest disadvantages of having kids close in age is your sanity! You’re going to have way more stress and way less sleep! But if you don’t get too overwhelmed, there are many advantages to going the way of Jessica and Megan.
