Celeb Pregnancy Roundup: The Latest on Sara Gilbert and Shakira

Tuesday, September 9th, 2014

Sara Gilbert is expecting again! The actress announced her pregnancy live on her show The Talk, when she backed out of a dare that involved lying on a bed of nails and having a cinder block broken over her belly. (Neither thing would be especially good for baby, am I right?) This will be the third baby for Sara, who has a daughter, Sawyer, and a son, Levi, from a previous relationship. (Sara’s currently married to rocker Linda Perry.)

And it looks like Shakira and her fiancé, FC Barcelona footballer Gerard Piqué, are having a boy again! As reports, in an interview with Hola! magazine, the pop singer’s parents spilled the beans that it’s another boy to join big brother Milan.

Congrats to both couples! (And I can’t wait to see what baby names they pick—as both made some intriguing choices the first times around.)

5 Things We’ve Learned About Jill Duggar Dillard’s Pregnancy

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2014

Newlywed Jill Duggar Dillard recently announced that she’s expecting, just two months after tying the knot in June. That makes her the latest member of the 19 Kids and Counting family to have a baby on the way (big brother Joshua already has three little ones…and counting). Jill and her husband Derick will welcome their new baby in late March.

Here’s what else we learned about her pregnancy so far, through their big announcements on Good Morning America and People Magazine.

She’s nicknamed the baby. Their little one will be called “Baby Dilly”—at least until they find out the sex and determine a name. (They’re not sure yet if they’ll follow in the Duggar footsteps and choose a letter theme for their baby names.)

She has morning sickness. And apparently, it’s pretty bad. “They should call it ‘pregnancy sickness’ because it’s all day,” she quipped on Good Morning America. (If you’re dealing with the same thing, check out our tips for managing morning sickness.)

She’s craving sour foods. Dill pickles, lemons, lemons with salt—those are all on Jill’s list of must-haves for dealing with her morning sickness—and in fact, hubby Derick carries around a “pregnancy bag” stocked with the essentials for helping his wife curb the nausea.

She’s planning a home birth. Jill Duggar is a trained midwife who has assisted on many births, and likes the vibe of a home birth. I feel like it will be way more relaxing… and having the baby at home with a midwife provides more of that personal care,” she said. (Considering the same? Find out if you’re a good candidate for home birth.)

She’s planning a gender reveal. Just like her big brother and his wife, Anna, Jill and Derick are planning to learn the sex of their baby (and likely, doing that in dramatic fashion during the taping of their show).

Here’s the scoop from GMA:

Gender Reveal! Kelly Rowland Is Having a…

Friday, August 1st, 2014

It’s going to be a boy for Destiny’s Child Kelly Rowland—though she wasn’t quite ready to spill the beans on whether it was a boy or girl to the public!

In an interview on Fox, she accidentally referred to her baby as “he,” when talking about how spoiled he already is. And then finally, she just went ahead and said: “It, it’s…aw, f–k it! It’s a boy. It’s a boy!”

She’s not the only celeb who slipped and inadvertently shared their baby’s sex during an interview. Last year, Jessica Simpson famously let it slip that she was having a boy on Jimmy Kimmel Live, by saying: “The crazy thing is I never knew a wiener could make me nauseous.”

And Kelly Rowland already has a baby name picked out, though she didn’t spill the beans on what she and husband Tim Witherspoon picked. The only hint? “The dad picked out the name. It has to do with family,” she said. Maybe Timothy Jr.?

See Snooki’s Sonogram! The Surprising Thing Her Daughter’s Doing

Tuesday, May 20th, 2014

“My baby girl!” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi exclaimed on Instagram, alongside a sonogram of her daughter, who appears to be holding one hand close to her lips. “She’s healthy and look, she’s already applying lipstick,” the Jersey Shore alum joked, posting a lipstick and sassy girl emoji, and proudly adding, “#mygirl.”

Snooki—who is five months along and has launched a clothing line called “Snooki Love“—recently posted an adorable gender reveal video, where she and son Lorenzo, 21 months, found out her second child would be a little girl. The reality star admits that being pregnant the second time around is way better than the first.

“My first pregnancy I didn’t do anything,” Jionni LaValle’s wife-to-be told Us Weekly. “I just sat and ate on the couch and I was literally a whale—I slept 24 hours [a day]. And I was so negative and hated life cause I just didn’t feel good at all. With this pregnancy I’m working out and eating healthy and just way active—so I just feel better about life.”

Having her bestie, JWoww, pregnant and going through the same things helps too. ” I feel like we can be fat together, we can complain about the same things,” she told E! News. “And we’re only three months apart from each other, so we kind of get each other now.”

You can see Snooki and JWoww’s pregnancies play out on the fourth season of their MTV show Snooki and JWoww, airing this summer.

Alyssa Milano’s Gender Reveal Video! She’s Having…

Friday, May 16th, 2014

When Alyssa Milano next hears the pitter-patter of little feet, they’ll likely be covered in pink booties. That’s right–she’s having a girl! The former Who’s the Boss? star will soon have a boy and a girl, when her “little sweet baby girl” joins son Milo, 2, later this year.

Alyssa shared the news on her website from the dressing room of her ABC series, Mistresses. “David, Milo, and I could not be happier,” she said in the video (below). “Truly, we could not be happier. So exciting!”

This isn’t the first time Alyssa has shared baby news with fans. On March 21, she Tweeted: “Ahem! Click here for some BIG, HUGE, HAPPY news,” which took followers to a video on her website, where she announced that she and husband David Bugliari were expecting a second child. “We are so happy to share with you that Milo is going to be a big brother!”

Two weeks later, she shared a bumpie on Instagram with the caption: “The bump,” explaining the size of her belly with the hashtags “#shortpeoplecarrybig #noitsnottwins.”

Her second pregnancy was no surprise to fans who’ve been following her mamahood journey. She told People last fall that she wanted to have another baby, so Milo would have someone to grow up with. “My brother and I are so close, and I can’t imagine not giving my son that kind of relationship,” she said.

Congrats to Alyssa, David, and Milo!
