Jaime King is expecting her second child with director-husband Kyle Newman. The “Hart of Dixie” actress shared a pregnancy announcement on Instagram. An oh-so-cute 16-month-old James Knight is seen with a “I’m gonna be a big brother!” sign.
The clever Insta caption read, “So excited to announce THE SEQUEL Coming later this year!! … #BabyTown2 – Created by @kyle_newman and @jaime_king. Also starring #JamesKnight”
King is one tough mama who’s been open about her struggles with infertility, multiple IVF treatments, and miscarriage. Speaking to People, King once shared, “If I’m open about it, hopefully it won’t be so taboo to talk about it.”
Despite her difficulties, King ended up conceiving naturally and giving birth to James Knight in 2013.
We’re excited for King’s latest baby blessing, and can’t wait to find out if she’ll have another awesome themed baby shower and which celeb godparents she’ll pick (maybe Taylor Swift?!).
See how other celebs shared their pregnancy announcements!

Lena Headey, who plays the deliciously evil Cersei Lannister on the popular HBO show, is expecting her second child, confirms People.
This is the second child for Headey, who also has a 4-year-old son, Wylie, with an ex-husband. No other news has been released, such as the baby’s gender or father, but Headey requested some privacy along with her pregnancy announcement.
In an interview with The Telegraph last year, the British actress shared her desire to be a mom to more than one child. “My dream is to have more kids,” she said. “I love being a mum and that’s been the hardest thing for me, trying to put to bed my desire to have more children.”
There’s no doubt Headey’s most likely over-the-moon (or is that over Westeros?) about her pregnancy. As she once tweeted:

Who’s been following the celebrity social media feud over one star’s corporate-sponsored pregnancy announcement?
To recap, here’s what went down: Tamera Mowry posted on Instagram that she is expecting her second baby. In the cute pic, she’s holding a positive Clearblue pregnancy test. The caption says, “We are thrilled to announce we are #ClearblueConfirmed! Can’t wait to meet baby #2! Love Clearblue’s pregnancy test with Smart Countdown. It helped me get through the wait to get my result by counting down with me. #spon” (“Spon” is short for “sponsored,” BTW, so she was upfront about it.)
That prompted a response from Chrissy Teigen, who is never one to shy away from Twitter controversy. She tweeted, “How much money does clearblue pay celebs to instagram their piss sticks this seems lucrative.” Oh yes, she did. And she went on to say that many other celebrities have gone the same route as Mowry.
You know what? I’m with Teigen on this one—but only to a point. As a new mom to twins, I know that every dollar counts. (Trust me, I know.) Accepting sponsorships is part of celebrities’ honest living, and part of their reality. And I would be happy to partner with an appropriate sponsor to back products and services that I really believe in when it comes to my pregnancy and my babies. This is the way the modern world works, particularly in the era of social media.
But the way Mowry did it just seems downright tacky, and I can’t get past that point. A pregnancy announcement seems like a sacred thing to me, not a #spon thing. Revealing such personal news in such a corporate way—right down to the pat marketing language—just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. If it were my sponsorship opportunity, I would have posted my personal news in a personal way, then followed up with other photos or endorsements of Clearblue, or other brands that felt truly relevant to my experience of pregnancy, mentioning them in interviews or social media in a more organic way. That would have been subtler and classier, IMO.
But you tell me—is it cool for celebs to accept corporate sponsors for pregnancy announcements?

Sara Gilbert is expecting again! The actress announced her pregnancy live on her show The Talk, when she backed out of a dare that involved lying on a bed of nails and having a cinder block broken over her belly. (Neither thing would be especially good for baby, am I right?) This will be the third baby for Sara, who has a daughter, Sawyer, and a son, Levi, from a previous relationship. (Sara’s currently married to rocker Linda Perry.)
And it looks like Shakira and her fiancé, FC Barcelona footballer Gerard Piqué, are having a boy again! As People.com reports, in an interview with Hola! magazine, the pop singer’s parents spilled the beans that it’s another boy to join big brother Milan.
Congrats to both couples! (And I can’t wait to see what baby names they pick—as both made some intriguing choices the first times around.)

Her hips don’t lie! The “She Wolf” songstress and former “The Voice” judge revealed in the Spanish version of Cosmopolitan that she’s pregnant with her second child.
The baby daddy is her boyfriend, Spanish soccer star Gerard Piqué, who she met at the 2010 World Cup. He is also the father of their first child, Milan, who was born in January 2013. Both Piqué and Milan also appear in the music video of Shakira’s latest single, “La La La (Brazil 2014),” which was was performed at this year’s World Cup.
Funnily enough, Shakira was quoted in the April issue of Latina magazine as saying, “If it weren’t because of my music projects, I would be pregnant already.” Guess plans change!
We’re excited for Shakira, who has been candid about wanting a big brood of kids to make up a soccer team. Now that baby #2 is on the way, Shakira may also want to consider starting her own family band!
