Prince George and Princess Charlotte Pose for the Cutest Pics Ever

Sunday, June 7th, 2015

The world got a glimpse of Princess Charlotte when she appeared, sleeping sweetly in mum Kate Middleton’s arms, just hours after her May 2nd birth. But now, a set of four adorable photos, taken by the Royal mama herself, has been released, and it’s official: the little princess and her big brother might just be some of the cutest siblings we’ve ever seen.

The photos, showing Prince George lovingly cuddling his little sister, and even giving her a sweet peck on the forehead, were released on twitter. The first one, right, had the simple message, “We’re delighted to share the first photo of Prince George with his little sister Princess Charlotte” and was quickly followed by another tweet explaining that the photo was taken by Duchess Kate in mid-May. An hour later, another tweet revealed three more adorable photos.

Clearly, in addition to her ability to look absolutely flawless after giving birth, the Duchess has some pretty solid photography skills, too. As any mom (or professional photographer, for that matter) can tell you, wrangling a toddler and newborn to sit still, stay clean, and smile pretty for the camera is no easy feat. And while it is easy to assume that Kate probably had some help, that may not be the case, as a family spokesman told People that the pictures were taken at Anmer Hall, the couple’s country home, “during private family time.”

Kate and Will seem about as down to earth as Royals could possibly be, and the way they introduce their children to the world is the same way many of us do to our own friends—via family-snapped photos. (Remember those early pictures of the couple with Prince George? They were taken by Kate’s dad.) It’s pretty cool that the first official photos of the Princess with her big brother are ones that were taken by her mum. Well done, Kate!

We Can’t Wait for the Second Royal Baby!

Friday, April 17th, 2015

After Kate Middleton officially shared that her due date was mid- to late-April, the royal baby watch has increased!

As much as everyone loves Prince George, there’s no denying most people hope it’s a girl to balance out the boy. Some are hoping that a little princess will mean the name includes a sweet tribute to the late Princess Diana and to Kate Middleton’s mom.

E! has also reported that staffers are prepping for the upcoming birth — by putting up barricades and 24-hour no-parking signs outside St. Mary’s Hospital in London, where Prince George was born. And some superfans have even started lining outside the hospital to get a glimpse of the baby, whenever he or she arrives!

In addition to have an extra bundle of joy to love, Kate will receive another perk for giving birth: a loyalty discount for choosing the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital for her labor and delivery.

And even The Week has began speculating how the second royal birth will affect markets, fashion, and food around the world.

One thing’s for sure: William and Kate will have their hands full taking care of two kids under two, especially as Kate is planning to take a longer maternity leave.

Kate and William May Hire a Baby Nurse—It’s About Time!

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015

kate-and-williamKate and Wills are staffing up!

In a move that will surprise no parent, the royal couple is rumored to be on the hunt for a live-in maternity nurse to help out during the first few months after baby number 2 arrives in April, according to the Daily Mail. This is a total 180 from two years ago, when the Duke and Duchess refused to hire help after Prince George was born. At the time, they said they wanted to be hands-on parents, plus they had the Middletons nearby for help.

But a lot has changed since then. Their adorable babe is now a walking, talking, swimming 18-month-old. Kate’s been dealing with an epic case of hyperemesis gravidarum. And, most importantly, the seasoned parents have already done the sleep deprivation thing and have the smarts (and money) to say, “A little help here!”

Buckingham Palace hasn’t commented yet on the potential hire, but a source has said, “Kate and William loved the early weeks with Prince George, but it was hard work and the sleepless nights took their toll. Kate especially was exhausted.” Preaching to the choir here, but still, it’s comforting to see that even a future king and queen have to deal with the same new-parent stuff we do.

Of course, unlike us, Kate and William have other “official” reasons to explain their need to hire help, including following royal tradition and Kate’s desire to get back to her charity work ASAP. (Genius excuse, by the way.) Whatever they want to chalk it up to, they’ll get no judgments here for bringing on an extra set of hands. The truth is, having two kids under 2 in the house is a lot of work—even when your house is a castle.

Now it’s your turn: Did you hire help (or enlist the help of family) after your baby was born? Would you recommend it?

#SoCute! New Photos of Prince George

Monday, December 15th, 2014

Our office can’t get over how cute Prince George is, and we’re sure you’ll fall more head-over-heels in love with him when you see the latest photos!

ICYMI, three new official photos of Prince George, taken at the end of November, were released on the official website of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Now 16-months-old, the toddler sits on the steps of Kensington Palace while wearing an adorable outfit that includes a knit blue vest with a design of the Queen’s Guard, navy blue shorts, and knee-high socks. (And check out more aw-worthy photos of the prince here!)

Want to know more about Prince George’s outfit? The Telegraph reports that the vest is from Cath Kidston, the collared white shirt is actually a bodysuit from Polarn O. Pyret, the corduroy shorts and knee-high socks are both from Amaia Kids, and the shoes are from Start Rite. Most of the items can be purchased online (note the prices are in pounds). The vest is no longer available, but it might be back in stock, while only navy shoes (not black) remain.

The Duke and Duchess made their first trip to New York City (and second official trip to the U.S. since visiting Los Angeles in 2011) earlier this month. Over three days, they visited the September 11 Memorial and attended a gala at The Met. They also spent time with Mayor de Blasio and his wife, Chirlane McCray, along with Hillary Clinton and her daughter, Chelsea. The royal couple even watched a Nets vs. Cavaliers game at the Barclays Center, where they were introduced to Jay-Z and Beyoncé, and Lebron James. Prince William also took a trip to D.C. to meet President Obama.

Is This the Most Powerful Baby in the World?

Friday, November 14th, 2014

Your baby may have a hunky dad (Esmeralda Amada), a gorgeous mom (Wyatt Kutcher), or a birthright that 99 percent of us can only dream of (Prince George). But according to, she’s nowhere near as powerful as North West.

Kimye‘s progeny took top honors in its tongue-in-cheek power rankings, which lists celeb babies under 3 who “could probably legally emancipate themselves and go on to flourish.” But it wasn’t just her famous parents who landed her in the number-one spot. Nori is perfectly capable of creating a buzz for herself, thankyouverymuch. As the article pointed out, a recent photo of her wearing a regular-looking skunk costume nabbed 1.6 million (!) likes on Instagram. Sure, #BreaktheInternet mom Kim posted it to her zillion followers, but the fact remains that we can’t get enough of the adorable tot. And who can blame us? She may not be potty-trained yet, but she’s already living a life of the rich and famous: wearing bespoke Balmain blazers, painting Hermes handbags, and piercing her ears with ice skating rink-sized diamond studs. The girl oozes power. Well, power and haute couture.

But perhaps nothing cements North’s boss status quite like seeing who she edged out. Rounding out the top five are Blue Ivy (#2), Esmeralda Gosling (#3), Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake’s still-unconfirmed baby-to-be (impressive at #4), and Prince George (surprisingly low at #5). Last on the list? Snooki’s mini meatball, Giovanna LaValle (#113).

Now it’s your turn: Do you think North West is the most powerful baby in the world? Who would be at the top of your list?
