Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel’s Baby Has Arrived!

Saturday, April 11th, 2015

Jessica Biel and Justin TimberlakeWe speculated on Jessica Biel’s growing baby bump for months until she could no longer hide the fact: she was expecting a baby with Justin Timberlake!

Now, the much-anticipated #babyoftheyear has arrived, and it’s a BOY! Biel has given birth to the couple’s first child, son Silas Randall.

No other details have been made available, but the couple’s reps exclusively told People that “mom and baby are doing well and dad is ‘ecstatic’.”

While the super-private couple never officially announced the pregnancy, JT confirmed the news when he posted a sweet baby announcement on his birthday. “This year, I’m getting the GREATEST GIFT EVER. CAN’T WAIT. #BoyOrGirl #YouNeverKnow #WeDontEvenKnow #WeAreTakingBets,” the singer shared on Instagram.

During her pregnancy, Biel was spotted out and about in L.A., keeping healthy and fit with prenatal yoga. She was also busy planning for the opening of her organic kids-themed restaurant, Au Fudge, which will serve rainbow-colored items on the menu.

We are beyond excited for these two first-time parents, who we know will make an amazing mom and dad.

Congratulations to JT and Jessica!

Rachael Leigh Cook Gives Birth to a Second Baby

Thursday, April 9th, 2015

To cap off a recent flurry of news related to She’s All That and Freddie Prinze, Jr., actress Rachael Leigh Cook gave birth to her second child, a son, this past Saturday. The actress waited a few days before sharing a baby announcement on Twitter:

Welcome to the party, Little Buddy. We love you so much. http://t.co/tvIBcGpnkJ

— Rachael Leigh Cook (@RachaelLCook) April 8, 2015

Cook and her husband, actor Daniel Gillies, who currently stars on the CW show The Originals, named their son Theodore Vigo Sullivan Gillies. The second-time mom and dad didn’t reveal their pregnancy news until late January. In a statement, the couple shared, “We’re as happy as we were surprised by this wonderful news! We haven’t slept since 2013 and welcome advice from all parents who survived Two Under Two.”

In an interview with Wetpaint.com last year, Cook also talked about balancing work and motherhood: “I’m certainly loving my time with [Charlotte]. I don’t think I’ll ever completely put work aside, but that’s just part of who I am. I think that loving what you do and having your child see that is a good example to set. That’s the plan, and I’m sticking with it.”

Jill Duggar Dillard’s Baby Boy Is Finally Here!

Israel David - Jill Duggar Dillard and Derick Dillard baby

After what felt like an epic pregnancy (with two due dates coming and going and one rumored labor speculation), #babydilly has been born!

Jill Duggar Dillard and her husband, Derick, welcomed their baby boy last night and named him Israel David. Their baby weighed a whopping 9 lbs., 10 oz ., and 23 inches. The new parents shared an exclusive first photo with People magazine and posted two more photos later on Jill’s Instagram, along with the announcements:

Israel David Dillard, born last night at 11:49 pm!

So thankful to God for this handsome little guy!
9lbs 10oz, 23 inches long! #IsraelDavidDillard #babydilly

The proud grandparents Bob and Michelle revealed more photos on the official Duggar Family Facebook page. From the looks of it, Jill may not have had the home birth she hoped for, but the birth experience will air on the May 5th episode of 19 Kids and Counting.

This is the first child for the couple, who met in 2013 (when Jill’s dad introduced them) and got married in 2014. Jill is the fourth oldest child in the Duggar family, and her child is also the fourth grandchild to join the family. (Older brother Josh has three kids.)

The couple first announced their pregnancy news in August, and they revealed the baby’s gender in October. They even posted another clever pregnancy announcement that shared the spotlight with sister Jessa’s marriage to Ben Seewald. Since the announcement, both Derick and Jill kept track of her growing baby bump and posting pregnancy updates. And even after her due date came and went, the couple stayed busy by volunteering at their church’s thrift shop.

Speaking to US Weekly after announcing their pregnancy, Jill shared, ”We were super excited. We prayed together, and thanked God for this new little life. I was screaming and everything.”

Jill, who has been training to be a midwife, has even helped deliver 30 babies and will take her midwife exam later this year. No doubt Jill also has experience caring for babies, so she’ll have no problem raising hers — plus, she’ll have plenty of family babysitters as well!

Congratulations to the first-time parents!

6 Reasons Why Justin and Jessica Will Be Great Parents

Thursday, April 2nd, 2015

bielJustin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are a study in success. With no shortage of creative talent — and an enviable work ethic — this power couple have dominated concert venues, box offices and awards shows. One of them even singlehandedly brought sexy back. So when pal Joey Fatone accidentally-on-purpose spilled the beans that they were expecting, the question wasn’t whether they’d be good parents. It was just how amazing they’ll be in their new roles as mom and dad. With the couple’s first baby due any day now, we rounded up just a few reasons why this dynamic duo will kill it as parents.

He’s done his homework. Though nothing really prepares you for parenthood, doing a little prep work ahead of time can help. Justin, naturally, is already on top of it. He’s reportedly reading baby books and learning how to change diapers and swaddle. And as godfather to three-year-old Sophia, he’s already had some practice with kids.

He’s going to own the bedtime routine. Take a load off, Jessica. Justin’s got the nighttime thing under control. Unlike most of us, who lull our infants to sleep with warblings of half-remembered nursery rhymes, we expect Baby Timberlake will be treated to super-smooth medleys delivered in pitch-perfect tone. And since Dad’s dance moves are the stuff of legend, you know the rocking and swaying will be anything but boring.

She’ll make the yummiest meals. When it’s time for their babe to start solids, Jessica will already know what foods kids love to eat. That’s because she can try out different menus in her soon-to-open, kid-friendly organic restaurant and bakery, Au Fudge.

They’ll take explosive diarrhea, projectile vomiting and spit-ups in stride. Let’s be honest: It takes a good sense of humor to survive raising a baby, especially when you’re sleep deprived and crazy cranky. Luckily, Justin and Jessica have it in spades. She famously Yahoo’d herself on camera, while his SNL skits have earned him some Emmys.

They’ll have no problem keeping up with a baby. All of JT’s dancing and Jessica’s stealthy action-movie skills will come in handy from day one. If they’re not lugging a heavy stroller and carseat everywhere, they’ll taking on everyday tasks with one less hand. And all that cardio and yoga will really pay off when their kiddo starts walking.

They adore (and support!) each other. Nothing can turn your neatly made life into a game of 52-card pick-up like a baby, so it helps if your bond with your partner is already rock-solid. And it seems like the Biel-Timberlake union is on very firm footing. If their adorable pregnancy announcement isn’t proof enough, consider this shout-out he gave his wife during a recent awards acceptance speech: “You can’t have innovation without creation,” he told the crowd. “I want to thank my best friend, my favorite collaborator, my wife, Jessica, at home, who is watching. Honey, I can’t wait to see our greatest creation yet.” (Us, too!)

I want to hear from you: How do you think Justin and Jessica will be as parents? What parenting advice would you give them?

Molly Sims Gives Birth to Her Baby Girl!

Friday, March 27th, 2015

Molly Sims and Scott StuberMolly Sims, the model-actress, and her husband, movie producer Scott Stuber, welcomed their second child, a daughter named Scarlett May, yesterday. Sims shared her joyous baby announcement — along with an adorable photo — on her website and her social media pages:

We welcome Scarlett May Stuber into our family.

Our hearts are bigger with you here.

Scarlett May joins her big brother Brooks Alan, who’s 2-years-old. Sims first announced her pregnancy in September, with a super-cute photo of her and Brooks holding chalkboard signs.

Speaking to FitPregnancy in January, Sims opened up about her struggles with breastfeeding, and the possibility of having a vaginal birth after having a C-section the first time. She also praised her husband for his support, “I always knew Scott would be an amazing father and we became a team very early on.” She also shared her belief in the importance of setting boundaries as a parent.

In another interview with Parents.com, Sims talked about her just-released book, The Everyday Supermodel, which offers practical beauty and fashion advice. At the time, Sims didn’t know if she was having a boy or girl yet (she later revealed she was having a girl), but she shared her nervousness and anticipation for baby #2, “I hope I love it as much as I love Brooks, but then I never thought I could love Brooks this much. Everyone says another one is a game-changer, but I guess I’m ready. Bring it on. You know? I’ve waited so long…”

Congratulations to the second-time parents!
