One night, I explained to my daughter that people from France speak French, people from Germany speak German, people from Russia speak Russian, and so forth. Wide-eyed, she said, “Like we do here in Tennessee! We speak Tennis.”

Feeling Fascinated

I was teaching my son the word “fascination.” To explain it to him, I said, “You have a fascination with dragons, your brother has a fascination with Skylanders and your sister has a fascination with gymnastics.” It was quiet for a moment and then Caleb chimed in, “And you have a fascination with shopping and Dad has a fascination with fixing the camper.”

Word Wars
