Water Break

Friday, July 11th, 2014

My daughter was helping me keep count while I was exercising. When I finished I said, “Phew, I need a drink of water.” Madisyn replied, “Phew, I need a drink from counting!”

Beautiful View

Tuesday, May 27th, 2014

I was telling my son about the trip his father and I went on before he was born. I mentioned that the ocean had the clearest water I had ever seen. My son responded, “Clearer than the toilet?”  I really need to get my child to the beach!

Come Sail Away

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2014

My daughter and I were playing with conversation starter questions. One of the cards said, “If you were stranded on an island, what one thing would you want to have with you?” My daughter quickly replied, “A boat!”

Rain Showers

Tuesday, March 25th, 2014

We were pulling into the driveway as it started to rain. I turned to my son and said, “We have to hurry and get inside the house before we melt.” He looked at me with huge eyes and asked, “We melt?”

Take Me to the River

Tuesday, February 4th, 2014

We were on our way to school when my son asked if there were any sharks in the river. I explained that there weren’t because sharks need salt water and the river has no salt. He then asked, “Well, does it have any pepper?” I laughed and said no. He looked out the window at the river and said thoughtfully, “So it doesn’t have any flavor.”
