Pouring Rain

Thursday, June 19th, 2014

It was a rainy day. My son asked, “Mommy, why is it raining so much?” I told him that the ground was really thirsty, so it needs to drink a lot of water. He replied, ” Well I hope it puts on a pull-up before nap time or he will wet his bed.” Gotta love the newly potty trained!

Hail Storm

Monday, April 7th, 2014

My 7-year-old daughter, Adira, looked out the window and commented, “It’s hail.” From her bed, my 3-year-old agreed, “Yes, it’s kale.” Then she thought for a moment before adding, “But not real kale.”

Rainy Day

Friday, January 24th, 2014

My daughter was wondering how clouds get rain. I explained that they get water from the ocean when they pass over it. She then asked, “Do octopuses go in clouds too?”

Case of the Mondays

Monday, January 6th, 2014

We live in a very snowy part of the country. It was the third stormy Monday when my son asked, “Does Mother Nature hate Mondays as much as the rest of us?”
